- Inducted into the Eastern Shore [of Maryland/Virginia] Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992.
- Pitcher with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1957), Cleveland Indians (1958), and Los Angeles Dodgers (1959). He appeared in a total of 25 games, all in relief, and had a 3-2 lifetime won-lost record in the major leagues.
- Pitched in the minor leagues over a period of 20 years (1949-1967, excluding 1952) with several teams, from C level to AAA. Appeared in 548 games, with a won-lost record of 111-82.
