The good thing to come out of the most recent Desmond-centric Lost episode? The sideways world is starting to feel slightly less pointless. This is a good thing, because, frankly, I've been complaining that it's taking up way too much time from important events on the island (or that should be happening on the island) for useless and sometimes repetitive character development. Now, though, it looks like Desmond is around to stay and will be visiting with the other Oceanic island people.
For example, in the April 13 new episode of Lost, Desmond pops in to see Hurley in his sideways world. ABC has released promo photos, which you can view below.

Hope to have some sneak peeks for you shortly!

Elizabeth Mitchell will attempt to save the world from an alien invasion in ABC’s new drama V, a reboot of the memorable 1983 miniseries that debuts tomorrow. She's also dealing with some deadly serious business on another freaky ABC series. In Lost's season 5 finale, Mitchell’s Juliet seemingly met her end after plunging down a hole and triggering a hydrogen bomb that may or may not have reset the timeline. Spoiler Alert: While Lost exec producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse confirm that death becomes her (“The decision to kill Juliet was absolutely brutal,” says Lindelof), they note that...

Before I unveil the title of Lost's fourth episode, let's do a quick recap of the first three... 6.01/6.02: "La X" 6.03: "What Kate Does" And now, the title of 6.04 (rumored to be Locke-centric) is... "The Substitute" What does it mean?! Let's ask Doc Jensen: "Well, a substitute is a replacement for something or someone that should be there, but isn't. Apply that to the Lost story, which left us with a burning question: Did the castaways' actions in the past — and specifically, Juliet's detonation of the H-bomb Jughead — change all of Lost history? Maybe season 6 will reveal that the answer is... 'Kinda.' Perhaps the history remains largely intact, but with some notable deviations. Perhaps 'The Substitute,' then, refers to someone playing the part or fulfilling the role of someone or something that is now missing from the new, rebooted timeline. For example: Walt. Maybe in the new timeline,...

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, aka former tailie Mr. Eko, has a message for Lost executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse: "Fans of Eko should have hope." Though Akinnuoye-Agbaje was the first castaway to vote himself off the island in season three, the British actor hopes to be one of the dead characters who makes a comeback in the drama's final season. "I loved playing that character," he told EW at the premiere of G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, in which he plays Heavy Duty. "I loved working with that team and the reception I got from people was phenomenal. Even at Comic-Con this year I went to sign my action figure for G.I. Joe and people had tons of questions about Lost. It makes you feel good that you could be off a show for more than a year and still have people thinking about your character.

Chicago – ABC’s “Lost” returns next Wednesday, January 21st, with a pair of episodes that more than live up to the expectations and the high bar set by season four, one of the best of 2008.
Perfectly balancing a healthy mix of answers to questions set up by the end of last season and asking new ones for what promises to be an excellent fifth season, episode 5.1, “Because You Left,” and episode 5.2, “The Lie,” are very likely to satisfy everyone who tunes in.
Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, Jorge Garcia, Naveen Andrews, and Josh Holloway are back and one of the best shows on television has returned from its time off without missing a single complicated step.
