We are still months away from the debut of Roswell, New Mexico Season 2, but the showrunner of the series took to social media over the weekend with some teases for fans.
Carina Adly MacKenzie dished five pieces of information across five tweets on Sunday, and it's a lot to process.
The first of which concerns Liz's mother, Helena Ortecho, who will definitely be setting foot back in the alien-filled city of Roswell.
No casting has been revealed, but we do know that Helena will be back for a "family dinner," but nothing beyond that was revealed.
Helena was not part of Roswell, New Mexico Season 1, so this tease confirms that Liz will be getting a blast from the past during the new batch of episodes.
The second tease reveals that despite not airing during October, there will be a spooky episode.

Amell also posted a very emotional video on Facebook detailing his journey and thanking Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, cast and everyone involved in the series. In the video, he said the end of the show “feels strange” and that “it is not the end, but it is the beginning of the end.””
“This show has given me a platform that extends so far beyond my ability to just appear on your television 23 times a year,” he said. “It has given me a voice for philanthropic endeavors, for social issues that I am interested in. I got to take batting practice...

Now that Code Black has been cancelled, there was nothing left to do but destroy the show’s sets during Wednesday’s series finale. And so the medical drama wrapped its three-season run by crashing a plane into the hospital’s surgical ward.
But before that incident even happens, plenty is going wrong. For starters, Ariel has run off with a bunch of troublemakers — one of whom is played by Madison McLaughlin, aka Evelyn Sharp from Arrow, so you know she’s bad news. All along, showrunners Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle have been telling us Arrow was seen as a five-year odyssey, intended to be the same amount of time post-Lian Yu, to show how he has grown since being stranded there. Other than that noble notion, the execution has been incredibly uneven season to season.
As the series entered its fifth year, they began the season uncertain if this was going to be its final one so they made certain things got tidied up. The tedious flashbacks had to wrap up the five years before the series’ start and move Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and his friends towards a point where, should it be canceled, viewers were left satisfied.
Somewhere during the production of the final nine episodes, they got a sixth season renewal so shifted the planning to bring things to a climax and a cliffhanger. The messy 23 episodes are...

Warning: Spoiler alert! Do not proceed if you haven’t watched Arrow’s epic season five finale!

The CW’s Og superhero drama came full circle on Wednesday's season finale, returning Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) -- and literally every other person in his life -- back to Lian Yu, the deadly island in the South China Sea where, five years ago, a shipwrecked playboy emerged as the vigilante that would become the Green Arrow.
Oliver and his motley crew of enemies-turned-allies -- Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Digger Harkness (Nick E. Tarabay) and Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) -- traveled to the island in pursuit of the Green Arrow’s actual friends and loved ones, all of whom were being held as pawns in Adrian Chase’s twisted game of vengeance. After being left less than satisfied by season 4, I must say that I share the jubilation expressed by other longtime fans of Arrow having witnessed the series return to form in the past year with what’s been a truly incredible fifth season. Seeing as how the star-studded finale is merely hours away from airing, let’s hope that it delivers by offering a conclusion worthy of the 22 episodes that paved its way.
Now, as we countdown the time, the network has opted to circulate a featurette as they usually do, with executive producer Wendy Mericle once again giving us the guided tour. Having also co-written the episode with Marc Guggenheim, it’s understandable that she’d want to avoid major spoilers, but it’s pretty cool to get a few more glimpses at a returning Manu Bennett as Deathstroke.

Now that the star-studded season finale of Arrow is less than a week away, we can’t help but recall the journey that got us here. And no, we’re not just talking about what’s been one of the strongest seasons the series has delivered to date, but rather, all that went down on social media.
As you may remember, there was a lot of back and forth between Deathstroke actor Manu Bennett and the show’s producers on Twitter and the like, confounding us all and forcing us to wonder if indeed a stuntman would be under the two-toned mask come finale time as opposed to the man we’ve grown accustomed to. Well, as it turns out, it was all thankfully a clever ruse to attempt keeping Bennett’s involvement under wraps in a digital age that nearly prohibits secrets from being kept.

Well guys, this time of year can be a bit slow for the entertainment industry, and while we usually have a slew of Oscar contending movies being released, I have not seen much of that yet. In fact, it seems La La Land and Arrival are the recent releases for main contenders of the award. TV is even slower as many of our favorite shows like Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and The Walking Dead take a midseason break for a month or two.
But Fear Not, my hungry entertainment news loving friends, as the midseason premiere promo trailer has been released for Arrow. In addition, a clip from the return episode titled "Who Are You?" is also available for our viewing pleasure.

According to Variety, Juliana Harkavy (The Walking Dead, Constantine, Dolphin Tale) has joined the cast of Arrow, and will make her debut during the back half of the current fifth season. Harkavy will play a detective named Tina Boland, who doesn't appear to be an established DC Comics character (I may be wrong about that, so please feel free to set me straight). Though it doesn't seem like she'll be a villain, from the sounds of this character description she will most certainly be a thorn in Oliver Queen's side. "A detective formerly of Central City, Boland is brash yet tactful, tough, speaks her mind, and is not the easiest person to impress. She also has a problem with vigilantes like Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and his new team of recruits: Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), Artemis (Madison McLaughlin), Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and Ragman (Joe Dinicol). Arrow strikes a balance between realistic superheroics and superhero realism in its latest episode, The Recruits...
This review contains spoilers.
5.2 The Recruits
The finale of Arrow Season 4 left us all scratching our heads thinking, “they sure have written themselves into a corner here, haven’t they?”
Oliver (Stephen Amell) and his estranged girlfriend, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), were the only members left on Team Arrow after various members quit or, you know, died. Somehow, in just two episodes, the series is edging out of that plot corner while simultaneously finding its footing in an expanding TV universe.
First, let’s go all the way back. The series started in 2012 with a heavily bearded man being discovered on a deserted island after five years stranded. That man ended up being the highly-trained archer and vigilante now known as The Green Arrow. Bob’s your uncle, a Deathstroke here,...

The last two seasons of Arrow, by most accounts, were severely underwhelming, with the death of Katie Cassidy's Black Canary and the fourth season finale receiving an unprecedented amount of backlash from fans. However, there's some reason to be optimistic that this season turns out differently (although, to be fair, that's what many said about last year), especially with the showrunners more or less taking Oliver back to the basics and dialing way down on the mystical side of things, which never really suited the show's Mo. Unlike its sister show, The Flash, there's only one extended trailer for next week's installment of Arrow, which introduces Oliver's new team of ragtag heroes, consisting of Mr. Terrific, Wild Dog, and Artemis. Check it out below: Suit Up - Oliver's (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin). The CW has released a first look at what’s to come in next week’s episode of Arrow, and it definitely appears as if Oliver Queen is going to have his hands full trying to train his new recruits. They’re clearly diamonds in the rough, and with Green Arrow back to his killer ways, it’s easy to imagine things going wrong with this at some point.
For more details on what to expect from the next episode of Arrow, here’s the synopsis for “The Recruits.”
Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin). Unfortunately, the Green Arrow’s training methods prove to be too much for some of them to handle. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver’s initiation into the Bratva continues. James Bamford directed the episode written by Speed Weed & Beth Schwartz.

Oliver certainly had his hands full on tonight's season 5 premiere of Arrow, and things are only going to get worse next week when he's forced to recruit some new heroes to combat the threat of this season's big bad, Tobias Church (Chad Coleman), and a mysterious new archer. Check out the promo for "The Recruits" below, and be sure to let us know what you thought of tonight's installment in the usual place. “Arrow “The Recruits” — (8:00-9:00 p.m. Et) (TV-14, Lv) (HDTV) Suit Up — Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest star Madison McLaughlin). Reluctantly, Oliver has chosen to rebuild Team Arrow with new recruits in the form of Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (Madison McLaughlin). Despite the fact that Arrow is a show that hasn't done much to excite in recent seasons (apart from cross over with the other CW shows), all we've seen for the upcoming Season 5 of the show seem to be pointing in the right direction. The next villain of the show will have no magical abilities, and will seemingly have some sort of personal vendetta against Oliver Queen. This is exactly where we need to be with the series, and with that, I certainly hope it can backpedal a bit and return to its roots.
Following a key death from Season 4, Oliver finds himself more vulnerable than ever, and finds him back to his murderous ways, showing no mercy against the villains who pollute Star City.
Now, the CW has released a new synopsis for Season 5.

The CW has released the first official images from the second episode of Arrow‘s fifth season and in them we get to see Oliver Queen training his new team. It was at the end of season 4 that the last group disbanded following the death of Black Canary, so now the vigilante has found a new group made up of characters like Mister Terrific and Wild Dog.
None of them look particularly happy about being taken down by their new boss, but if that recent trailer was any indication, Green Arrow has no intention of going easy on them.

David Ramsey catches you up on where you'll find Oliver, Thea, Diggle and Felicity at the start of season 5. Out of all of the upcoming storylines, which are you most interested in following? It seems Felicity is dating someone new, Oliver is having a terribly difficult time juggling his duties as Mayor and crime-fighter and Diggle has returned to the military. As for Thea, it seems she's picking up Oliver's slack in the legislative department and handling things as well as could be expected. However, despite all of these changes it's really just a matter of time before things return to the status quo. It will be interesting to see just how long the new Team Members - Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), Artemis (Madison McLaughlin), Ragman (Joe Dinicol) and Mr. Terific (Echo Kellum) stick around. With just nine days to go until the season premiere of Arrow, The CW has opted to tease us with yet another new promo video. While this one is rather brief and may not seem altogether different from preceding trailers, do know that some new bits of footage are peppered throughout. In fact, I highly recommend re-watching and pausing this one at certain points to catch everything.
The backbone of this particular trailer happens to be the various new recruits Green Arrow has taken under his wing – or bow, if you prefer. Although Wild Dog and Mr. Terrific share some of the spotlight, our attention turns to a burgeoning young female vigilante.

After impersonating Black Canary in season 4 in an effort to exact revenge against H.I.V.E., Evelyn Crawford Sharp (this is actually the name of the DC Comics hero, Starling) is now looking to protect Star City as a key member of Team Arrow 2.0. With both The Flash and Arrow set to return in just under two weeks, it’s time to start looking beyond their respective season premieres. Fortunately, official synopses have been released pertaining to their second episodes that further detail what we can expect from these fan favorite superhero shows going forward.
We’ll start with The Flash, not only because it airs first but also because it’s somewhat charting the course for the rest of The CW’s DC-based shows with its “Flashpoint” premiere event. With its second episode, “Paradox,” it looks like Barry will have already set the timeline straight – for the most part. That doubly makes sense because continuing one show in an alternate timeline for too many consecutive episodes while others are progressing as they normally would could possibly disorient some viewers. Plus, it lets us become acquainted with the new status quo even sooner and...

Season four of Arrow ended with Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak as the last remaining members of the team which once included the likes of Black Canary and Speedy, but photos from the Vancouver set of The CW series show a new group of vigilantes standing alongside Green Arrow.

The latter two have already appeared in Arrow as Artemis impersonated Black Canary in season four and Curtis Holt’s transformation into Mr. Terrific is one fans have been looking forward to seeing ever since he debuted in the show last year. Some new photos from the Vancouver set of Arrow have found their way online today, and as you can see below, they offer up a first look at Oliver Queen's new team of vigilantes. Diggle is at least back by his best friend's side, albeit with a brand new helmet which appears to be a vast improvement over what's come before. However, they're both keeping some very interesting new company. Joining them is Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), a new vigilante in Star City whose reckless and cocksure nature prompts Green Arrow to take him under his wing. Then there's Evelyn Sharp (Madison McLaughlin) as Artemis, a character who previously appeared in Arrow as the new Black Canary. Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum) meanwhile has finally suited up as alter-ego Mister Terrific for season five. What do you guys think of this first look at Arrow's new group of vigilantes? Sound off below.

Is Oliver Queen in danger?
This casting notice sure makes it seem like he might be in a bit of a pickle.
While he's normally taking aim at others, on Arrow Season 5 Episode 5, "Human Target," he'll become the latest client of Christopher Chance aka Human Target, played by Wil Traval.
You probably know Traval from his roles as the Sheriff of Nottingham on Once Upon a Time or Will Simpson on Jessica Jones.
Turns out he's no stranger to DC Comics. Welcome back, Wil!
Human Target is a professional bodyguard and master of disguise who assumes the identities of those targeted by assassins. Uh oh, right?
Sure, Oliver could be hiring Mr. Chance to protect someone else while he's busy with other, more mayoral duties, but an assassin usually targets a political entity, and that description happens to fit our man Queen at the moment.
If the term "Human Target" rings a bell,...

Production for Arrow: Season 5 recently began with the series returning to the CW on Wednesday, October 5th at 8 pm. Many individuals, including myself, were disappointed with the Season 4 Finale, let alone the entirety of Season 4. I have always tried to find the best in Arrow, and have continuously watched the series trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. At the conclusion of Season 4 I began to compare all of the seasons. Obviously seasons 1 and 2 were the best, but I began to think what it was that attracted me to the series during those seasons.
Season 1 was great because it was the “origin”. I looked forward to the island scenes wondering how they would escape, and would then be eager to see how the flashback scenes meshed with the current timeline, which they did. There were two story lines, but each one gave the audience pieces to the overall plot.

With casting for Arrow Season 5 well underway, we have already found out several of the new heroes and villains we will see next on the show that started DC’s interconnected universe on The CW. One of the latest bits of news to come to light has a bit of a twist – Artemis is coming to the series, but we’ve already met the actress who will be playing her!
Remember the impostor Black Canary from last season’s episode titled “Canary Cry”? Well, I hope you do, because Evelyn Sharp (played by Madison McLaughlin) got the taste for street justice and apparently liked it. Expect her to return in Season 5, Episode 2 to kick off a multiple episode arc that will see her evolve into the masked vigilante known as Artemis. Yes, the show is gaining another archer, assuming she elects to pick up bow and arrow like her animated counterpart.
