Daphne Gabriel was born in Los Angeles, Ca to Haitian parents. She embarked on her journey in the film and TV industry as a child actor, sparking her love for filmmaking. Today, she is a successful Haitian-American filmmaker known for her original narratives. Notable works include producing, writing, and directing "Photo Booth Monologues" and the upcoming short film "Cosmos," a Haitian magical realism drama selected by the Santa Barbara International Screenplay Awards. In 2023, Daphne was honored as a mentee in the Black Boy Writes/Black Girl Writes Initiative, under the guidance of industry leaders Mike Gauyo and Ashley Aronson. Her significant role in the acclaimed feature film "The Uncanny" earned her The Vanguard Award for Best Supporting Actress at the Scotland International Festival of Cinema (SIFC). Daphne's contributions also led to the film's recognition as Best International Feature Film at SIFC and Best Feature at festivals such as Hastings Rocks Film Festival. Additionally, the film was officially selected at the Chicago Horror Film Festival, LA Femme International Film Festival, and more. Rooted in education with a B.A. from Cal State LA and an M.A. from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the UK, Daphne is committed to creating impactful stories that leave a lasting imprint on the world.
