Bertrand Bonello with Anne-Katrin Titze on Romy Schneider’s face in Coma, the camera test by Henri-Georges Clouzot for his unfinished film L’enfer (Inferno): “I was trying to find an image that you could dream of when you’re a young girl.”

We hear the voices of Gaspard Ulliel (Yves Saint Laurent in Bonello’s Saint Laurent), Anaïs Demoustier, Laetitia Casta, Louis Garrel, and Vincent Lacoste as the dollhouse figures. We see Romy Schneider’s face in a camera test for Henri-Georges Clouzot’s unfinished Inferno (L’Enfer) and meet a woman in the forest portrayed by Bonnie Banane.

The casting of The Crown’s Emma Corrin in Deadpool & Wolverine’s in a lead role has led to plenty of speculation as to whether they’re playing the film’s villain. Although some thought she’d be playing a variant version of Deadpool to give a twist on Lady Deadpool, others were adamant she’d bring Cassandra Nova to the party. Now, it looks like the latter has been confirmed.
As seen on the US Copyright Office site, Corrin’s character is listed as “Cassandra Nova,” seemingly confirming they’ll be playing the villainous twin sister of Charles Xavier. Introduced in 2001’s New X-Men #114, Cassandra Nova has similar telekinetic and telepathic powers to Charles Xavier. But instead of using them for good, she tried to eradicate the so-called “mutant menace” by dispatching an army of Sentinel robots to the mutant island of Genosha, massacring millions of mutants in the process.

Haut et Court will also distribute “Rosa Bonheur” in France.

Justine Triet’s Cannes Palme d’Or winner Anatomy of a Fall continued its awards-season ascent by scoring five Academy Award nominations including Best Picture and Best Director.
“I’m so happy,” Triet said Tuesday from her home in Paris after hearing the news.
The Best Director nomination was “historic,” she observed, because Triet believes she’s the first French female filmmaker to receive such recognition.

“This is crazy for me,” Triet told Deadline. “It means a lot because I’m not 20 years old, I’m 45, and I’ve lived in this world a long time, and I lived before the MeToo movement and I watched the evolution of the situation for women.”
She added: “The young generation is going to leave something very different compared to me, and I can’t wait to see the change of all the industry for women.

It’s not every day that you see a spin-off that surpasses the legacy of the main series. Especially when the series has run for over a decade and garnered the kind of cult following that’s persevered through its weakest days. If you take a look at the mess The Walking Dead franchise has made with the majority of its spin-offs, Daryl Dixon will come as a truly bewildering surprise. It was never a matter of question that if The Walking Dead had to base a sister series on one of the characters that wasn’t Rick Grimes, it had to be Daryl Dixon. The scruffy, fidgety man who’s as comfortable wielding a crossbow and a flail as he’s hesitant to ever admit how soft his heart really is. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon premiered its season finale, and with it came the news of AMC already...

Twd: Daryl Dixon’s Anne Charrier and Romain Levi on Codron’s Lie and Genet’s Plans for Super Zombies
Well, that's one way to end a season.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 6 brought the freshman season to a close in thrilling fashion.
If you haven't watched, you probably should because we're about to delve into spoiler territory.
TV Fanatic got the chance to speak with Anne Charrier and Romain Levi about the big revelations and what's on the way when the show returns in 2024.
The finale was made more shocking by Genet's scientist's scientifically engineered walkers not doing what was expected of them.
Anne expects that Genet will still use the scientist to weaponize the undead on The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2.
"I think she needs him, so I'd say she's going to trust him until she gets what she needs," she tells TV Fanatic exclusively.

This article contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon finale.
The mystery at the center of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon can be succinctly summed up as “why France?”
After 11 seasons of the flagship series taking place in the American Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest, why did the first episode of spinoff open with the titular character drifting ashore on the beaches of Marseille? The first season’s fifth and penultimate episode answers that question to a certain extent. Daryl encountered some trouble in the U.S., was imprisoned on a French research vessel, and then threw himself overboard to avoid an amped up walker, eventually washing up in southern France.
While that explains the literal narrative reasons for Daryl’s French journey, it doesn’t quite capture the thematic reasons. What can The Walking Dead accomplish with the major character of Daryl Dixon in France that it...

Ever since The Walking Dead Season 1, the franchise has often struggled to deliver satisfying season finales because the creatives were far more concerned about viewers tuning in for the next season.
With the impressive quality of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1, I was cautiously optimistic that the show would stick the landing.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 6 brought all of the season's significant conflicts simmering to the surface while flawlessly planting seeds for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2.
It's hard to believe that the season is already over, but AMC's decision to cap the spinoffs at six episodes per season is probably to thank for the breakneck pace of it all.
Daryl's journey to France has been chock-full of shocking encounters, but fighting in that arena must have been one of the most harrowing scenarios he's ever faced.

After six episodes following a desperate and homesick Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) battling his way through France, the first season of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon” ended on Sunday with a surprising twist: Daryl literally missed the boat back to America. Spoilers ahead.
According to series showrunner David Zabel, Season 1’s plan was always to end with Daryl standing on a beach, choosing to stay in France with Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi) and Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) rather than go home.
“That was really my first pitch on the story,” Zabel told TheWrap.
The executive producer explained that his series’ “central conceit” was always “in trying to get back home, what happens if you form a surrogate home in the place you’re trying to get away from?”
Zabel was careful to build to this emotional decision for Daryl. The first three episodes see Daryl slowly warming up to Laurent and Isabelle.

This Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon article contains spoilers.
Daryl Dixon always finds a way to get out of sticky situations and the season finale of his own spinoff show is no different. Not only does Daryl and his squad manage to escape the clutches of Genet and her drugged-up zombies but he manages to get both Laurent and Isabelle to the Nest in Mont-Saint-Michel (with a surprise assist from Codron).
It seems like Daryl’s job in France is done as he passes through Normandy, pays a visit to his grandpappy who died during World War II, and prepares to board a boat back to the States. That’s until Laurent shows up at the last minute, along with a horde of walkers who would love nothing more than to eat him. Now Daryl has a choice to make between staying with Laurent and Isabelle or heading home to his own family.

But has anyone ever stopped to wonder what the hero we love, admire, and maybe even fear a little bit really wants? Throughout The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s Season 1, we’ve seen Norman Reedus’ embattled protagonist fight both for and with Clémence Poésy’s Sister Isabelle. But is their biggest battle keeping their burgeoning feelings at bay? Do they even realize that they have feelings for one another?
“That’s a good question,” showrunner David Zabel tells TVLine with a laugh. “A deep connection has clearly formed between them over the course of the five episodes we’ve seen so far, and it continues to deepen in episode six” — aka Sunday’s finale (premiering on AMC at 9/8c).

The Walking Dead reached the end of its eleven season run last year, and long before the show ended we knew the character Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus) was going to be getting a spin-off. But when the Daryl spin-off was first announced, it was said to focus on the two-person team of Daryl and his friend Carol (Melissa McBride). That plan changed when it was decided that the show was going to take place in Europe, and McBride didn’t want to relocate for an extended period of time. So we’ve gotten the solo spin-off The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon… but showrunner David Zabel still has story in mind for the Carol character.

Daryl Dixon's journey to France has been infused with horror and hope, but it's hard to have much of the latter after The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 5.
Sometimes, even the best-laid plans have too many variables, and that's precisely what happened when Daryl tried desperately to get Laurent to the Nest.
Despite Quinn and Isabelle giving them the best shot at getting to their destination, it wasn't meant to be.

Throughout Twd: Daryl Dixon Season 1, Norman Reedus' titular alter ego has been on a mission to return home.
That's been complicated by the fact that Isabelle has convinced him to continue the mission to take Laurent to the Nest.
On Twd: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 5, Daryl and Laurent are well on their way to getting to the supposed safe haven.
But Laurent is unsure of how far you have to go for survival on the road.
TV Fanatic scored an exclusive first look at the episode, which finds Laurent bringing a fish back to the campsite.
He's shocked to the core when Daryl tells him they will need to kill the fish to eat it, something that didn't happen while the youngster stayed at the monastery.
Daryl opens up about the harsh realities of life on the road and how they'll struggle to find the food they would like to find.

If there were ever an opportunity to go to Paris during a zombie apocalypse, I'd probably take it. They seem to have it together far more than other places we've visited in this franchise.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 4 delved deeper into the conflict between those who believe Laurent has a higher purpose and tyrants like Genet who want to wipe all hope away.
The funny thing is Genet was probably bursting at the seams with hope once, thinking there was an end in sight for the apocalypse.
If nothing else, she's been an entertaining counterpoint to people like Isabelle and Sylvie, who want to scream "Laurent is our savior" from the rooftops.
Genet has been the thorn in everyone's side since The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 1 Episode 1 when she realized who squandered years of her research.
We still don't know how Daryl managed to pull off that trick,...

In Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, a spirited game of hot potato is played — with Laurent in the role of the potato.

First, after escaping the Guirriers’ attack on the Nest (here’s how it happened), the boy takes what must qualify as the saddest-ever sightseeing tour of Paris on his way to the Eiffel Tower. There, no sooner do poorly barricaded walkers figure out how easy sandbag walls are to knock over than Laurent is reunited with Isabelle and Daryl… only to be immediately kidnapped. His abductors,...
