Morgue Anne grew up in a small town on the Jersey shore.
In 2004, she moved to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of
Technology, graduating in 2006 with a BFA in Fashion Design. She had
always enjoyed making costumes, so while in school, she specialized in
intimate apparel and was known for making fantastical costume-like
pieces. She won several awards and recognitions from the Underfashion
Club, a lingerie industry group, as well as receiving the SUNY
Chancellor's Award for Excellence upon graduation.
Morgue Anne had always loved monsters and the horror genre, so she got
into doing FX by dressing up with friends to see movies in New York City theaters
while still in college. She's had no formal training, but in 2007,
started a horror based photography company, They Walk By Night
Productions with friend and photographer Lobo Jones. Known for their
elaborate sets and gory effects, They Walk By Night had a unique look
and caught the eye of several film directors. Morgue Anne then worked
on a series of short films, including
The Collector (2009) and
The Terminals (2009)
