Lindsey Kasabian, who most recently led casting efforts at Touchstone Television (aka Fox 21 Television Studios) as Vice President, has been named Senior Vice President of Casting for Freeform. Kasabian replaces Elizabeth Boykewich, who departed the Disney cable network as head of casting and talent earlier this month as part of the regime change at the net last May.
Working closely with Freeform President Tara Duncan, Kasabian will be responsible for identifying and helping to select the acting talent for all ongoing series and pilots at the cable net. The new assignment is effective immediately.

Amazon Prime Video debuted a trailer for “The Underground Railroad,” an original limited series from showrunner and director Barry Jenkins.
All 10 episodes of the series, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Colson Whitehead, will premiere on May 14.
“The Underground Railroad” follows Cora Randall’s journey to freedom in the antebellum South as bounty hunter Ridgeway seeks to bring her back to the plantation she escaped. Thuso Mbedu, Chase W. Disney Television Studios is expanding its casting executive team adding Kim Williams and Dylann Brander Gunning as VPs of Casting for Fox 21 Television Studios and ABC Studios, respectively.
“Kim and Dylann both have incredible instinct and taste, and I’ve been fortunate to have them work on several of our studio’s projects as independent casting directors. I’ve had my eye on them for years, and jumped at the opportunity to bring them into the Disney Television Studios fold as we build out our incredibly talented team,” said Evp Casting of Disney Television Studios and FX Entertainment, Sharon Klein.
Williams will report into Lindsey Kasabian, head of casting for Fox 21 Television Studios, and Gunning will report into Jonathan Bluman, head of casting for ABC Studios.
Williams joined ABC as director of casting in 2019, working on projects for the network, Disney+ and ABC Studios, including For Life, Baker and the Beauty and Single Parents.
