Elaine Williams turned the air blue on tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent.
The cookery student turned up at the Manchester auditions to try her hand at comedy in front of the celebrity panel, Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre and before her routine told Ant and Dec:
“I’m over 21, I’m from Manchester and I go to college. I’m doing a cookery course, learning soup and sauces. But I’ve come to Britain’s Got Talent because I’d like to be a top comedian. If I was performing at the Royal Variety performance, I’d be on top of the world. I hope I can make the Queen laugh.”
Never mind the Queen, Elaine couldn’t make any of the audience laugh. We should have known that she wouldn’t be any good, when she admitted that she’d only tried her hand at comedy six times before.
