With the return of fan favorites like Robert McCall in Equalizer 3 and John Kramer in the recently released Saw X, 2023 seems to be the year that bad guys relearn the significance of the saying—mess around and find out. Another thing they have in common is that, despite the vast differences between their modus operandi, in their own ways, both of these characters test how much their opposition, or victims, value the worth of their lives, by providing them with a chance.
Anyway, after the poor reception of the last Saw franchise entry, Spiral, the makers made the right choice by letting Tobin Bell reprise the role of John Kramer, the infamous Jigsaw killer. This time, not in flashbacks, but in the proper lead, with perhaps the most screen time attributed to him in this venture compared to all previous entries. In years to come, for series fans, Saw X...

Plot: When the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful Game Developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world.
Review: Robert Rodriguez has always had two distinct film output: mature genre offerings aimed at adult audiences and family-friendly action flicks aimed at the youngest viewers. While Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios has used in-house special effects work to deliver pulpy flicks like Machete and the recent Hypnotic, the full-blown CGI worlds of the Spy Kids films have given the indie filmmaker a playground to make every childhood fantasy come to life. After four films centered on the Cortez family of spies, Rodriguez and his son Racer Max have written a franchise reboot centered on two new pint-sized agents as they use their knowledge of video games to save their parents and the world.

There were many significant Latino artists who shaped the soundtrack of Congressman Joaquin Castro’s childhood when he was growing up in San Antonio, Texas. As a kid, his mother loved Joan Baez; Castro remembers that she would play the folk singer’s 1975 Diamonds and Rust album over and over around the house. He also recalls liking a lot of the Tex-Mex fusion sounds pioneered by the Texas Tornados and Freddy Fender, and he’d even listen to Ricky Martin’s late Nineties pop songs once in a while.

Chicago P.D. had an underwhelming return with an often confusing and dull case linked to Asa Chapman.
Some of the most interesting parts of Chicago Pd Season 10 Episode 13 were Voight's seemingly unprompted visit to Olinksy's grave and Torres' undercover work that ranged from incredibly good to bafflingly questionable within moments.
However, it was a case-heavy hour that utilized all of the team, so that was a major plus.
We haven't known much about Chapman, and she's one of those characters you tend to forget until they show her again.
But she's an ambitious woman who Voight has all the faith in the world, so when she sought him out for help, there was no questioning if he'd oblige.
Her close connection to the case went about as well and as predictably as imaginable. The nature of why and what prompted Chapman to reach out to Voight got a bit murky,...
