Upon graduating was employed as a wine waiter at the prestigious Victoria Hotel, Nottingham, (which he maintains, apart from teaching him a great deal about wine, particularly the difference between good & not so good, the job was 'pure theatre'!) After attending the Jack Joseph School of Music & Drama, where he developed his acting skills, he subsequently appeared in over 200 productions, both in live theatre & on television, working with some of the finest actors & directors of his time
Also, he's written many features for magazines, primarily columns for an Anglo-French magazine, some of which have been syndicated internationally. His script 'Me, Jack and Mrs Applegarth', based on the early struggles of writer & adventurer Jack London, won him the Guardian Award.
He and his wife Christine, after 15 years living in France, now live in Maella, Spain, in what he fondly refers to as 'Real' Spain.
