Troy A. Dyer
- Producer
- Actor
Mr. Dyer is of Ashkenazi heritage. He is one of only a handful of top
advisers in the US who has advanced knowledge in media finance,
risk mitigation, COLI/BOLI/REBA/NQDC. He is uniquely qualified to
reduce media risk for investors and major banks.
Chicago born, Mr. Dyer has advanced tax, banking, insurance and risk mitigation expertise. He holds an additional 2,000+ hours of post collegiate Continuing Education credits in financial service sectors.
Years of pre-college practical experience was begun at the age of 14, having been born into the insurance, estate tax planning, and finance business. His firm has never lost a penny of any conservative client's assets.
Mr. Dyer has worked for The Bank of Montreal, Harris Bank and Trust, New York Life, Transamerica Financial, AXA, AMEX, AIG and multiple broker-dealers during the last 25 years. He has retained multiple license designations including securities, life insurance agent, investment advisor representative and membership in Illinois CLU (1991) association.
Mr. Dyer's company, Geneva Media, can contractually guarantee 100% recapture of film production costs. The structure is based on IRS tax code regulations introduced in the 1960s which have been used by Forbes 400 families and Fortune 500 companies for over 60+ years. Film and TV costs can be recaptured using state qualified tax credits, pre-sales, and most importantly CAIC (cash accumulation insurance contract) expenditures, thereby effectively doubling or even tripling media tax incentives (soft money) and eliminating downside investment risks with 100% cash reserves.
Mr. Dyer grew up in the Midwest between Chicago and Milwaukee. He began making super-8 films at the age of 10. His parents noticed he was a natural observer, director, leader and a numbers nerd, thus allowing him to capture family events on film using film stock he paid for himself with babysitting and lawn mowing money.
Mr. Dyer attended the UW-Madison (in Theater, Comparative Literature, Communication Arts) and UW-Whitewater (History, Business, Radio/TV) and was accepted to the University of Southern California due to securing a personal recommendation letter from USC Cinema/TV Board Member William Wrigley, the chewing gum magnate who lived in Troy's hometown of Lake Geneva, WI. Troy received USC's Cinema Circulus Scholarship, optioned his first TV script, installed $22,100,000 if CAIC life insurance benefits to today's top earning TV and film writer/producers, and graduated with a professional degree in screenwriting and film production.
During his studies in Los Angeles, he also worked at the law offices of Samantha Shad (during the first of the large spec script sales, started by Shad client David Chappe's "Gale Force" script). He interned at Bell-Philip Productions (as The Young And The Restless), a leading company in daytime drama television and a top dramatic serial for over 50 years. Troy has had mentors in both the arts and film distribution business, including 8 Academy Award winning screenwriters and producers.
While still a student at USC, Mr. Dyer had worked AXA, AMEX and Transamerica Financial as a professional risk mitigation advisor, L&H consultant and designer of CAIC structures. He has provided personal and corporate financial solutions for successful writers, show runners, directors, and film/TV producers in Hollywood since 1989.
Mr. Dyer works in Chicago, Illinois and Beverly Hills, CA. and resides in Lake Geneva, WI and Indian Wells, CA
