While Marvel fans await the sole theatrical release of the year i.e. Deadpool & Wolverine, one particular film sequel has been on the minds of fans since the original’s success three years ago. Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was a huge hit upon release and earned over $432 million amidst the global pandemic.
While a sequel was announced a while ago, there have been no updates regarding the film. Director Destin Daniel Cretton was previously attached to Avengers: Kang Dynasty before stepping down to concentrate on Shang-Chi 2. Despite there being no updates, actor Simu Liu recently mentioned that the sequel was definitely in the works.

During the Marvel presentation at Cinemacon this past week, Marvel president Kevin Feige showed off the logo for the “Thunderbolts*” movie coming in 2025. The title now has an asterisk after the name, and many people are wondering if they are going to do “Dark Avengers.”
But who are the Dark Avengers?
The first “Dark Avengers” series ran from 2009 – 2013 and was written spun off from “Secret Invasion.” Basically, the characters are villains or antiheroes who are dressed up like Avengers so people will be more accepting of them. Norman Osborn (Green Goblin) is in charge and is dressed up as an Iron Man knockoff called Iron Patriot.
Osborn is a “reformed villain” who was put in charge of the “Thunderbolts” and later S.H.I.E.L.D., which he renamed H.A.M.M.E.R. From that, he created a new Avengers team made up of villains and antiheroes—something like “Suicide Squad.

Following Cox’s return, there has been much speculation as to who may be next in returning to the world of Marvel. One of the most vocal of those is actor Finn Jones who portrayed Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist. He felt that he wasn’t able to give the character justice and wished for the chance to do so.

It is indisputable that the Netflix series Iron Fist, starring Finn Jones on Netflix, struggled to garner favorable reviews. Scott Buck’s series has a 20% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, with a 71% favorability rating, it somehow garnered slightly higher respect from the review aggregator’s audience.
Its cancellation in 2018 was a further letdown. Since then, fans of the character have expressed a keen interest in seeing Jones reprise his role as Danny Rand, aka Iron Fist, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite years after the show and its lackluster reception, there is a growing call for Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to give Jones “another chance” to play the iconic martial arts hero on the big screen.

A recent social media post by Iron Fist star Finn Jones fueled speculation the actor could be returning as the Marvel character.
Jones first played martial arts master Danny Rand in Netflix's Iron Fist, which ran for two seasons from 2017 to 2018. He also starred in the crossover series The Defenders and made a cameo appearance in Season 2 of Luke Cage.
Iron Fist received poor reviews upon release, and even Jones admitted it "didn't live up to expectations." However, with the Defenders Saga now officially under the Disney+ umbrella, rumors are rife that the Netflix Marvel stars could make a return in the MCU.

Starz has axed three existing drama series and one upcoming project.
The network has binned Heels, Run The World and Blindspotting as well as not moving forward with The Venery of Samantha Bird.
Heels, Run The World and Blindspotting all aired two seasons and The Venery of Samantha Bird paused production in May due to the strikes with two episodes left to film.
Heels revolves around the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small-town pro wrestling. Set in a close-knit Georgia community, it follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals (Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig) war over their late father’s legacy. In the ring, somebody must play the good guy and somebody must play their nemesis, the heel. But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to — or hard to leave behind.

Finn Jones wants another shot at being Iron Fist, but it’s kind of hard to know how to feel about this. As one of the Marvel shows brought to life by Netflix, Iron Fist did have a lot of promise. Unfortunately, the first season of the show didn’t deliver on that promise. As a hero, Finn’s version of Iron Fist didn’t come off in the manner that people wanted to see. This is, after all, a character that is heavily steeped in martial arts and isn’t known for levity. But what Finn and the crew delivered felt a little too

For the most part, Netflix’s universe of Marvel TV shows were enthusiastically received by fans, with the one exception being Iron Fist. Although the series showed improvement with its second season, Iron Fist never got the chance to right the ship when it was cancelled along with all the other Marvel shows on Netflix. With several stars returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Finn Jones told Geekscape Podcast that he would love to return as Iron Fist, if only to prove all the doubters wrong.
Finn Jones starred as Danny Rand, a martial arts expert with the ability to call upon a mystical power known as the Iron Fist. “Of course I would [return]. I’d love another chance,” Finn Jones said. “I care about [Danny Rand] deeply. I believe in that character, I believe there is a lot of work that can be done… I love the underdog narrative. I love...

Finn Jones still hasn't given up on Iron Fist. The actor, who had a breakout turn as Loras Tyrell in "Game of Thrones" before being cast as the billionaire martial artist Danny Rand in "Iron Fist," was asked about reprising his controversial role while appearing on the Geekscape podcast (via Cbr) earlier this year. He didn't mince words in his response, saying, "I'd love another chance. I care about Danny Rand deeply, I believe in that character, I think there's a lot of work to be done."
The comments came in the midst of a discussion about the news that Disney+ would be taking over the reins on the Marvel stories that started out as Netflix originals, bringing Charlie Cox back as Daredevil. Danny Rand, meanwhile, hasn't been mentioned much in conversations about the MCU heroes' future, probably for good reason. News of the original "Iron Fist" series and Jones'...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe Netflix series have been hit and miss, but one of its biggest flops has been Iron Fist, which was canceled after just two seasons. But star Finn Jones may have some ideas as to why Iron Fist ended up getting the iron boot after such a limited run.
In an interview with the Geekscape podcast, Finn Jones elaborated on why he thinks Iron Fist didn’t cut it, breaking it down by season. “The first season, there was a lot of creative challenges, and it didn’t live up to the expectations, and I think that came down to…scheduling conflicts,” he said. “That season of television was rushed because we had The Defenders that we had to film straight afterwards. We had to film [that], we had all those other actors locked into that schedule, so we had to film those 13 episodes of television in that set time,...

Plot: After a series of tragedies, Robert moves with his wife back to her childhood home. After he discovers an old portrait of a man who looks like him, he goes down a rabbit hole to discover the identity of this mysterious doppelganger.
Review: I was shocked to see that The Visitor is coming to us from Blumhouse. Usually, when I see that company, I see quite the marketing blitz. Yet this film has mostly come without so much as a peep. That had me very worried at the onset. Then I watched the trailer and was immediately concerned that I had just been shown the entire film. Unfortunately, that’s kind of true.
The story is just really uninteresting and doesn’t amount to much outside of a light mystery. Sure, it’s interesting that Robert (Jones) moves with his wife Maia (McNamee) into the middle of nowhere and...

Netflix’s universe of Marvel TV shows started out strong with Daredevil in 2015. The Man Without Fear was soon joined by Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, and The Punisher, but by 2019… all of those shows had been cancelled. But as we’ve seen, several of those characters have made the leap to the Marvel Cinematic Universe recently, and Finn Jones hopes that he’ll be able to return as Iron Fist one day.

Appointment watching is back Sunday nights with the debut season of HBO’s “House of the Dragon,” a prequel series to “Game of Thrones.”
The two fantasy dramas don’t have any of the same characters, but they are deeply connected both behind the scenes – with “Thrones” series author George R.R. The Man Without Fear is coming back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“Daredevil: Born Again” was announced at Marvel’s San Diego Comic Con panel by Kevin Feige. It’s set to release in Spring 2024 with an 18-episode season.
Daredevil also showed up at the end of the “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” trailer that debuted during the panel.
Cox’s Daredevil made his way back into the MCU in last year’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” in which he had a cameo role as his alter-ego Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer who fights crime outside of his office hours. Variety exclusively reported in May that a solo “Daredevil” series was moving forward at Disney Plus, with Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce.
“Daredevil” first launched on Netflix in 2015, kicking off a mature, street-level saga of superhero shows that included “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist.

The Man Without Fear’s world will officially get a little more frightening! When Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk appeared on the Disney+ series Hawkeye, just one week after Charlie Cox’s blind lawyer Matt Murdock showed up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, rumors immediately began swirling about a showdown between the two. The Netflix Marvel shows may have a mixed legacy, but the clashes between Kingpin and Daredevil remain fan favorites. The Hollywood Reporter has now confirmed that both characters will be in the upcoming Hawkeye spin-off Echo, meaning the two will finally meet in the MCU.

Then there is Donald Sutherland in what might be his most repulsive villain role yet: a Hollywood patriarch who delivers from his literal deathbed some of the show’s most jaw-dropping moments of sexual exploitation (and there are a lot).
Delivering the pulpy indulgence of “You,” the palace intrigue of “House of Cards,” and a dick-pics-per-episode ratio bested only by “Minx,” it would be right at home on many streamers. But — surprise! — when the show’s eight-episode first season drops Friday, it will be available exclusively on the Roku Channel, for free, to the 60 million people who use the company’s boxes, sticks, and smart TVs in any given month.

Rut-roh, Roku. The streaming-device manufacturer and gatekeeper, and home to the Roku Channel, is in a spot of trouble.
An April 13 report from the media analysts at MoffettNathanson doesn’t mince words: “Roku: Three Key Things to Worry About.” Since it’s a major technology equity research firm that came to the conclusion, we might suggest the report itself represents a fourth.
First concern: The creation of Warner Bros. Discovery is poised to take a major chunk out of Roku’s bottom line. People signing up for streaming services through Roku make for a very attractive revenue stream (aka “high-margin content distribution revenue growth”). Per Roku’s developer terms, it generally takes a 20 percent share of monthly subscription revenue for users who sign up through its platform.
However, analysts say the combined platform of HBO Max and Discovery+ will give Wbd leverage at deal-renewal time, which is particularly problematic when you consider that “HBO Max,...

When "The Defenders" premiered on Netflix back in 2017, the show's four leading superheroes — Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) had already headlined shows featuring their origin stories. The superheroes and the lore surrounding them had been established through their respective adventures in Marvel's shared universe on the streaming service, so fans were pretty excited about "The Defenders." Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage teaming up in the same show? Who wouldn't be thrilled about that?
