Tyson Gilmore is an editor who was born in Torrance, California. At Torrance
High School he made his first film project, directing and editing "The
Torrance Sledgehammer Massacre". After the success of this project, he
moved north to Los Angeles to attend Columbia College Hollywood where
he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Cinema. After graduating, Tyson made
it his goal to help form an independent production company with the
intent of shattering the mold of the current horror landscape. During
his tenure at Columbia College, he helped out on many different
projects, including acting in "The Drawer" and David Sherbrook's "It'll
Clear Up By Morning". He also worked on director Patrick Merrick's
short films "Handfuls of Dust", "Sallow Creatures", and "Alice
Ascends", all of which he edited during post-production. In his senior
year, he wrote and directed "Sven & Ben" a silent comedy short which he
also edited. With the dawn of 2009, he joined David Sherbrook in the
formation of Infested Films and served as dolly grip for the company's
first project "The Morning After", which he later edited along with the
film's director. Tyson was also present as a dolly grip for Infested
Films' second short film "Theodore" which guest-starred Troma
Entertainment's Lloyd Kaufman.
