We correctly guessed that the new Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. director would be based on '40s era Marvel Comics hero The Patriot a while before Jeffrey Mace (Jason O'Mara) made his debut on the show, but so far there hasn't been any indication that he ever actually fought under that mantle. However, the second episode back just so happens to be titled "The Patriot", and based on what we learn from the synopsis below, that could well mean we'll get to see Mace suit-up. Episode 4.10 - The Patriot Coulson and Mack discover a shocking secret about Mace, which leaves all of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a dangerous position. Guests: Jason O'Mara, Mallory Jansen, Adrian Pasdar, Maximilian Osinski, Patrick Cavanaugh, Troy Caylak, Kimberley Drummond, Shelly Robertson, Alastair Bayardo The small-screen version of Mace is a lot different to his comic book counterpart (he's an Inhuman, for one), so even if S.

On the heels of an overall synopsis for the second half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s fourth season and a breakdown of the first episode back, we now have this intriguing tease for the following week’s installment, which is titled “The Patriot.” As many Marvel Comics fans rightfully guessed around the time he debuted on the show, the team’s new director Jeffrey Mace (Irish actor Jason O’Mara) is actually based on a character called the Patriot – a Golden Age superhero first introduced in the ’40s, who actually served under the mantle of Captain America for a time.
The show recently revealed that Mace was, in fact, an Inhuman, who appears to exhibit immense strength (the comic book incarnation didn’t actually posses any super powers at all), but from the sounds of things, they might also be planning on taking him back to his patriotic roots.

Review: Sharp Writing and Strong Performances Make 'Christmas Wedding Baby' a Treat (Now on Netflix)
Written by award-winning Nyu grad Kiara Jones ("Barbasol"), "Christmas Wedding Baby" is warm and inviting, even if it seems we’ve been to this party before. The film focuses on three sisters. The baby of the trio, Andrea (the adorable Kimberley Drummond) is in town for her wedding to the wealthy Brent (Maba Ba), but it’s clear something is amiss, as he’s been too busy to come for the pre-wedding preparations. This small town in North Florida doesn’t have too many professional photographers and Andrea’s ex Gabriel (Sawandi Wilson) was hired by the wedding planner to effectively capture her beauty on this momentous occasion. Sparks fly between the two, compounding...

There, opening scene: Damon (Ian Somerhalder) naked in the showe. Like he said last episode about the someone having to get naked, well maybe it's not the same thing, but he wasn't having a cold shower either! Elena (Nina Dobrev) trains with Alaric (Matt Davis). Stefan (Paul Wesley) asks why Damon's in such high spirits. Damon suggests he stays calm otherwise he'll lose his hair. Elena didn't sleep and neither did Alaric, at which point I would say she was dreaming about Damon and that kiss, but since she was awake she must have tossed and turned and thought of That kiss instead. Elena is frustrated (some may add sexually). Jeremy (Steven R McQueen) is packing. Bonnie (Kat Graham) chants a spell but the coffins don't open. Stefan is adamant they must protect the location of Klaus's (Joseph Morgan) family. The less people who know the better and Damon hasn't told Elena about it either.

A new report from Chicago Sun-Times claimed Cissy Houston was so outraged by the National Enquirer's front-page casket photo of daughter Whitney Houston, she's seeking an in-depth investigation to find out who snapped the picture. An "Extra" source says the story is not true.
The story, which is unconfirmed, said a source claimed Cissy has requested all the people who could have possibly taken the photo -- including the Whigham Funeral Home staff -- take a lie detector test.

Aretha Franklin was a no-show at Whitney Houston's funeral on Saturday because she was suffering from leg spasms, or was it because she angered the late singer's mother with remarks she made during a Friday appearance on "Today"? Was it a little disrespect?
Franklin, 69, unexpectedly canceled her scheduled performance at Houston's funeral service. Dionne Warwick was apparently unaware that Aretha wasn't there, and called for her to come to the pulpit, saying, "Oh, 'Re's not here?...

I have been waiting for a good representation of We Need to Talk About Kevin to post and this UK movie trailer is it. It doesn’t give everything away from the book yet hints at the three acts of the film very cleverly through the editing.

First things first, Qasim Basar’s film Mooz-lum answers a question we’ve pondered on S & A a few times before, namely whatever happened to director Christopher Scott Cherot (Hav Plenty, G)? Well the answer is that he’s still involved in filmmaking, since according to the opening credits, he was the editor on Basir’s film.
And, with that out of the way, I am happy to report that Mooz-lum is quite a good film. Well written, well directed and well acted, despite its occasional tendency early on to fall into the trap common in black film dramas; that of being at times too didactic with occasional touches of expositional dialogue (Basir clearly has a lot of things to say and express to his audience).
However, the great thing about Mooz-lum is its low key, subtle approach. Purposely modest in scope and scale, the film is effective and at times quite poignant.
