An ideas-sharing lunch club and online community that launched last year with the premise that ‘no wankers’ or negative comments were allowed, has closed.
The Commercial Ideas Network was positioned as a “safe haven” from those who make critical comments about other people’s work.
Its founder, Anne Miles, explained: “I found that the network wanted my content but they didn’t need to be online in a community environment – since closing the network down every member has remained in contact and will continue getting my content via email and blog posts.”
Members of Commercial Ideas Network will continue to receive Miles’ content through her new consultancy for the film and video production industry, International Creative Services.
Miles, who takes on the role of executive producer/buyer at the new venture, says she saw the need to provide a service to protect clients new to content-making from inexperienced production companies.
