The Qed International founder has branded as “specious” all claims against him.
In a second statement within a week issued by Bill Block’s attorney Marty Singer, the former Qed International CEO has denied all claims by Qed Holdings principals Anton Lessine (pictured left) and Sasha Shapiro (pictured right).
Block continues to defend his name after the pair filed a lawsuit for alleged trademark infringement and unfair competition.
Monday’s statement issued from Singer’s office read: “The only one who has any valid claims in the dispute between Bill Block and Qed is Bill Block.
“The parties entered into an enforceable settlement agreement in December 2014, but after doing so, Qed attempted to renegotiate that deal. When Mr. Block refused to capitulate to Qed’s absurd request to change the deal, Qed filed a meritless arbitration demand.
“Thereafter, Qed again demanded that Mr. Block modify the agreed settlement terms. After Qed had already been paid over $600,000 under...

The lawyer acting on behalf of the founder and former CEO of Qed International branded as ‘absurd’ on Wednesday evening the infringement and unfair competition lawsuit filed by the Qed principals.
Martin Singer issued a statement disputing claims in a filing earlier in the day by Qed Holdings co-CEOs Sasha Shapiro and Anton Lessine, asserting that Block never acted without the knowledge of the principals.
In a brief statement Block (pictured) said he had always acted in the interests of Qed, its employees and filmmakers and associates and expressed confidence he would be “completely vindicated.”
The statement by Singer read as follows:
“The claims asserted against Bill Block by Qed are ridiculous and have no merit, and we are confident that my client will prevail on Qed’s specious claims.
Nothing was done by Bill Block without the knowledge of Qed’s attorneys and principals.

Former Qed International CEO Bill Block has fired back at the lawsuit filed against him Wednesday by his former company. The company’s new bosses, Sasha Shapiro and Anton Lessine, filed suit against Block in the federal Court in Los Angeles citing unfair practices and copyright infringement. “Instead of performing his executive responsibilities exclusively and conscientiously for Qed, Block actively and surreptitiously hijacked Qed’s assets and siphoned Qed’s opportunities for his personal gain,” read the complaint. “One of the means he used to do that was to misuse Qed’s name and trademarks to establish and operate entities controlled not by Qed,...

Qed Holdings co-CEOs file trademark infringement and unfair competition suit.
Sasha Shapiro (pictured at right) and Anton Lessine (pictured at left) have filed a claim against Qed International founder Bill Block, Qed Pictures and Qed International.
In a filing with the Us District Court Central District of California Western Division on Wednesday the Qed Holdings principals alleged Block, who served as Qed’s CEO and director from May 2012-February 2015, “actively and surreptitiously hijacked Qed’s assets and siphoned Qed’s opportunities for his personal gain.”
The claim asserts that one of the ways Block did this was “to misuse Qed’s name and trademarks to establish and operate entities controlled not by Qed, but by Block personally.”
The plaintiffs allege, among other things, that Block negotiated a $1m down payment from Chinese investors in Bruce Lee biopic Birth Of The Dragon for Qed Pictures, a company they say he formed and fully owned as an individual for his...

Qed International founder and CEO Bill Bock is leaving the sales, financing and production company behind District 9, Fury and W.
Sources speculated the move would free up Block, a former agent who founded the company in 2002, to dedicate more time to Merced Media.
Block announced the $500m film fund last October alongside PalmStar Media Capital CEO Kevin Frakes and Merced Capital.
A spokesperson declined to comment on the future Qed International and its skeleton staff in Los Angeles.
Media Content Capital heads Sasha Shapiro and Anton Lessine, who made an eight-figure investment in Qed International last May, told The Hollywood Reporter they plan to personally assume the reins and will head to Cannes with new sales titles.
The company took a hit on the Arnold Schwarzenegger action thriller Sabotage, which allegedly cost $35m to produce and took less than $17m worldwide.

The pic stars Brad Pitt, Shia Labeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, and Jon Bernthal. Pitt and Ayer are confirmed to attend the closing-night festivities in Leicester Square with screenings to be simulcast to cinemas across the UK. The film is set in April 1945 as the Allies make their final push in the European Theater. A battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Pitt) commands a five-man Sherman tank crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines where they face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
