From insane car chases to defying physics with ramps and explosions, each F&f film delivers pure entertainment with a focus on spectacle. But what really make the movies shine is the awesome duo of Paul Walker and Vin Diesel.

Tokyo Drift was one of the lowest-earning films in the Fast & Furious franchise, but the film gained cult status over the years. It came to be known as one of Justin Lin’s best works in the franchise. Lin took several risks to make an authentic film, which included breaking the law in Japan. However, he had the backing of Universal Studios to avoid facing serious consequences for his lawbreaking.

Justin Lin’s Tokyo Drift moved away from the stories of Dominic Toretto and Brian O’Conner and focused on Lucas Black’s Sean Boswell. Upon his arrival in Tokyo, Sean gets involved with the city’s illegal drifting community, where he makes both friends and enemies.

It seems like spme bizarre rumors have come up about the Paul Walker. Late American actor Paul William Walker IV is pretty famous for his driving skills. Even if he is not here anymore, his fans still rev their automobile engines as a tribute. Well-known for his roles in the Fast and Furious series, Joy Ride (2001) and Eight Below (2006), Paul Walker never disappointed his fans.
In fact, he is highly indebted to the Fast and Furious series because it served him with what he deserved. His character Brian O’Conner gave him ample love, professional satisfaction, and worldwide recognition. However, a few rumors have led to fans picturing Walker as a different man.

The "Fast & Furious" movies just haven't been the same since Paul Walker died. Oh sure, it's been entertaining watching the series relentlessly try to top itself (even sending its heroes to space for real) and later additions John Cena and Jason Momoa have helped inject some fresh energy into the Fast Saga's increasingly strained machinery. But Walker was always the heart and soul of these films. Without him, they just ring hollow.
Vin Diesel, whose offscreen conduct has overshadowed his contributions to these movies of late, needed Walker to play off of. The brotherhood that formed between their characters -- law-breaking street racer Dominic Toretto and undercover police officer Brian O'Conner -- in the original "The Fast and the Furious" extended to the actors' relationship in real life. As much as The Fast Saga has desperately tried to sell audiences on the "epic" romance between Dom and Letty Ortiz...

Warning: this post contains major spoilers for "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom."
After five years, the best superhero movie of 2018 that did not win an Oscar is finally back with a sequel. "Aquaman" remains a high point of the Dceu, a fantastical adventure movie with great worldbuilding, cool performances, an excellent horror scene, and some of the most bonkers moments in the superhero genre — like a drums-playing octopus, an army of crab people, and Julie Andrews playing an aquatic kaiju.
Now, "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" doubles down on everything its predecessor did by letting James Wan go fully nuts. It expands the world of Aquaman by bringing in a mythical threat and introducing DC's answer to Mordor, it has a poignant story about the current threat to the environment, and it also gives us a fun road trip movie with Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson as bickering brothers that once fought to the death.

Over-the-top action sequences. Bone-crunching fights between titans of the action genre. A popular horror director getting his chance to make a massive-budget blockbuster. Fast & Furious 7 (watch it Here) brings all of those elements to the table. But it’s primarily remembered for being a production that was disrupted by tragedy. And we’re going to look into how it all played out in this episode of Revisited.
Universal Pictures doesn’t have a lot of major blockbuster franchises. In 2012, Jurassic Park had been dormant for a decade and the Bourne Identity movies had lost Jason Bourne. So they really only had Fast and Furious. It makes sense that while they were sending the sixth movie out into the world,...

The Fast & Furious movies saga, a robust international action series created by Gary Scott Thompson, has proven to be much more than its humble beginnings as a street racing storyline in 2001. Who would have predicted the evolution from gritty street races to the cinematic spectacle of dragging bank vaults across the asphalt, airborne cars, submarine escapes, and speculative alien encounters? However, following the franchise’s timeline can feel like being in a high-speed chase.
To experience the Fast & Furious events as they chronologically unfold, the journey begins with the first two installments: The Fast and the Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Unexpectedly, the third in the series, Tokyo Drift, doesn’t follow immediately after, as it’s set further down the timeline. Instead, viewers should pivot to Fast & Furious, Fast Five, and Fast & Furious 6 before returning to Tokyo Drift.

The NFL season is less than two weeks away, but fans don’t have to wait that long to get back into a football frame of mind. The HBO original series “Ballers,” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is now available to stream on Netflix.
Looking at the lives of former and current football players, “Ballers” follows former superstar Spencer Strasmore (Johnson) as he gets his life on track in retirement while mentoring other current and former players through the daily grind of the business of football.
“Ballers” becomes the second HBO title licensed from Warner Bros. Discovery to debut on Netflix after Issa Rae’s comedy “Insecure” premiered on the service in July. That show saw a 370% jump in engagements on Netflix and is still available to stream on Max, giving both companies the ability to benefit from their licensing agreement.

While Dom may be the face of the "Fast and Furious" franchise, Brian O'Conner was its heart and soul. From the very first movie, Brian was our way into the world of racing: He was the protagonist we followed, the baby-faced hero who defied orders and chose family over duty, letting Dom escape in the movie's final moments. When Vin Diesel refused to do a sequel, Brian was in the spotlight in "2 Fast 2 Furious," which still holds up remarkably well without Diesel, especially compared to how these films hold up when Brian is absent.
Even when the whole family reunited in "Fast Five" and we got more characters than ever, Brian continued to be an essential part of the team, serving as a counterpart to Dom. He was the former cop who knew how to catch criminals, and who kept the franchise grounded while Dom slowly became a borderline superhuman comic book character.

When Rob Cohen made "The Fast and the Furious" in 2001, he couldn't possibly have known that it would eventually spawn one of the largest film franchises of all time. The original film was downright modest, even wispy, when compared to some of the more recent chapters in the overblown "Furious" franchise. In it, an LAPD cop named Johnny Utah ... er, I mean Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) goes undercover in the strange and ultra-cool world of surfers ... er, I mean L.A. street racers to track down and arrest their ringleader Bodhi ... er, I mean Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) for a recent rash of high-profile thefts. Michelle Rodriguez appeared as Letty, Dom's girlfriend, and Jordana Brewster played Mia, Dom's sister and Brian's would-be paramour.
Over the course of the film's many sequels, Letty and Mia would eventually play larger and larger parts in the story and finally be allowed to do more than fall in love,...

It should go without saying at this point that the "Fast & Furious" movies are a franchise like none other. At a moment when complaints about an overabundance of VFX and threadbare blockbuster scripts feel like they're at an all-time high, audiences just keep turning out to see what ridiculous stunts and brazen action sequences our favorite gearhead family will attempt next. In defiance of the industry's assumption that only a very specific kind of demographic can lead big-budget ensembles, the impressively diverse main cast have set a high bar that most others have failed to reach. And as much as we may crow about the dying era of the movie star -- and, with it, the dearth of genuinely crackling on-screen romances -- these movies are here to remind us of everything we miss about star-driven spectacles and epic love stories ... but only by delivering arguably the most unconvincing...

For more than 20 years, the Fast and Furious franchise has been celebrated for its over-the-top action sequences, lunkheaded sincerity and cavalier approach to logic. When the balance is right, these are features, not bugs. But when that balance is off, as it is in the new Fast X, the result is a cinematic pileup that suggests the series is finally running out of gas.
For those late to the barbecue, Fast X doesn’t waste time catching them up. The film starts with a flashback to the climax of the series’ fifth entry – easily its best – revisiting Dominic Torretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) as they speed down the streets of Rio, dragging a drug kingpin’s massive safe behind them. Vin Diesel et al return for an overstuffed Fast and Furious chapter that delivers giddily effective action but an outsized and silly villain
The Fast & Furious franchise reached the ideal level of sublime ridiculousness with Fast Five, which brought Dom Toretto, Brian O’Conner and four films’ worth of gearhead rogues together for a compact heist thriller that’s basically Ocean’s Eleven with cars. It peaks with the ultimate smash-and-grab job, as Dom and Brian attach a giant bank vault to their Dodge Chargers and drag it through the streets of Rio de Janeiro, occasionally thwacking their pursuers like an improvised wrecking ball. The films that followed have tried nobly to top the simple, lizard-brain pleasure of this moment – the skydiving cars in Furious 7 come the closest – but recent entries have started to grind like metal-on-metal, scrambling to figure out how to top itself.

Cars. Family. Willing suspension of disbelief. These three words can basically sum up the two-decade sprawling franchise of the “Fast and Furious” saga. While the premise of the movies has transitioned from more grounded illegal street racing to pure nonsensical fun action heists, it’d seem the relevance of the franchise is fighting against time, but the box office numbers have to say otherwise. However, nine movies—which are part of the original series, one spin-off movie, and even an animated series—later, the franchise is going to end its lap with a movie trilogy, starting with the first part, Fast X, which is releasing this week. With numerous actors already associated with this ever-expanding action franchise, it’s easy to lose track of everything regarding the main narrative. We will like to bring viewers up to speed by trying to chronicle the important events in the “Fast and Furious” franchise.

As Dominic Toretto (played with muscle-y esteem by Vin Diesel) once said, "I live my life a quarter-mile at a time." When 2001's "The Fast and the Furious" came out, this sentiment referred to Dom's love of street racing. But on the eve of the premiere of "Fast X," the 10th entry in the series, perhaps Dom should've said he lives his life a quarter-century at a time.
The release of "Fast X" marks 22 glorious years of the "Fast" saga, and as the 25-year mark approaches, it seems that Diesel and company are eager to give their long-running franchise a big, splashy final act. Because the "Fast" films are not based on any pre-existing source material, the journey from each movie to the next has been thrillingly unpredictable as the Torettos and their extended family reach bigger and crazier heights.

"Fast X," which is set to hit theaters on May 19, will mark the beginning of the end of the Fast and Furious franchise. Initially, the series was meant to wrap up with a two-part finale. However, at the "Fast X" premiere in Rome, Italy, on May 12, Vin Diesel, who's led the franchise as Dominic Toretto since 2001, teased the movies could end with a trilogy instead. Although he didn't officially confirm or deny anything, his co-star Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz) fueled the rumors by telling Fandango, "It's three acts in any story."
If it's true, then the series will officially end after 13 movies. Castmembers like Diesel, Rodriguez, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris have starred in the majority of the "Fast and Furious" films, while Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham led the 2019 spinoff film "Hobbs & Shaw." Miami sunshine, neon nights, a dangerous drug runner, Eva Mendes, and two new characters who would have prominent roles in future sequels: all of these elements collide in a follow-up that has the unforgettable title 2 Fast 2 Furious (watch it Here). And it’s time for it to be Revisited.
Set-up: The Fast and the Furious was released in June of 2001. You know, when you think about it, franchises can be a lot like family. The bigger they are, the more likely they are to go off the rails entirely. Of course, there's no more quintessential example of a big-screen family that fits both of these descriptions than Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his Fast Fambly of street racers-turned-superspies. By now, everyone knows that the trajectory of the "Fast & Furious" movies is unlike any other, taking viewers from the seedy streets of Los Angeles' local racing scene to world-ending shenanigans that somehow can only be foiled by one particular team of -- let's call them what they are, folks -- gearhead superheroes.
This major change in the franchise's scale and ambition didn't just happen overnight, however, in the same way that Rome wasn't built in a day. Every film laid its own particular building blocks that would eventually add up...

"Fast & Furious" is one of our greatest movie franchises, one that isn't afraid to let go of continuity for the sake of reinventing itself. Perhaps more than any other series of movies — other than "Mission: Impossible" — the "Fast & Furious" films are guided by only one principle: the rule of cool. Whether that's racing a submarine, driving on an endless airport runway, or literally going to space, there is no limit to what the family can do.
We are nearing the end of the road for Dominic Toretto and his family, with "Fast X" just around the corner. So, it is time to look back on the "Fast & Furious" franchise and how we got here. After all, the franchise we have today is not the same as it was in 2001 when "The Fast and the Furious" premiered. So much has changed, the crew has grown, the cars got faster and more furious,...

The Fast & Furious franchise is going out with a bang. The 10th film in the franchise, "Fast X," is set to hit theaters on May 19, and it's the first of a two-part franchise finale. The creators behind the super-size conclusion are pulling out the big guns for the occasion, having tapped Jason Momoa as its latest villain and Nle Choppa, Jimin, Jvke, Muni Long, and Kodak Black to collaborate on the franchise's next main theme song, "Angel Pt. 1." But one aspect of the film that will really have fans of the Fast Saga in their feelings was revealed on May 11: the daughter of the late Paul Walker, Meadow Walker, will cameo in the film.

I can’t believe now I get to be up there too. With those who have been around to see me grow up.”

It must really feel good to be Jason Momoa. Since his memorable turn as Khal Drogo in "Game of Thrones," Momoa has gone on to join the DC Universe as Aquaman, star in his own Apple+ TV series "See," and appear as the battle-tested warrior Duncan Idaho in Denis Villeneuve's "Dune." Momoa has certainly proven that he knows how to play the hero, and now he'll get a chance to play the villain in the upcoming blockbuster, "Fast X" opposite Vin Diesel. Momoa is keeping the theme of family going strong in the ongoing action franchise, playing Dante Reyes, the son of Hernan Reyes who died during the bank heist in "Fast Five."
The swagger that Dante shows in the "Fast X" trailers and footage up to this point mirrors Momoa's own charisma on and offscreen. The role seems tailor-made for the Hawaiian heartthrob, who is definitely injecting some...

Intro: One of the biggest action franchises of the last twenty-five years had humble beginnings. It started with a simple little movie about street racing, based on a magazine article, with a cast of young people who weren’t very well-known and action scenes that are relatively grounded. That movie has somehow spawned multiple sequels and a spin-off. Along the way, those further installments have gotten bigger, crazier, and more over-the-top, while earning over six billion dollars at the worldwide box office. The movie we’re talking about is the 2001 release The Fast and the Furious (watch it Here) – and it’s time for it to be Revisited.

Incredibly, "The Fast and the Furious" came out 22 years ago and has gone on to spawn multiple sequels that will finally come to an end with "Fast X" and the recently announced "Fast and the Furious 11," both directed by Louis Leterrier. Future spin-offs are always a possibility, but for now, the increasingly complex storyline involving Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), and the rest of their death-defying familia has reached the finish line.
Judging from the trailer for "Fast X," the latest entry is revisiting and reinventing some of the massive action set pieces from the previous films. The new blockbuster will also connect back to the events of "Fast Five," introducing Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa) as the main villain who's seeking revenge for the death of his father, Herman Reyes (Joaquim De Almeida). The action promises to be next level, but what about the emotional stakes for...

After Paul Walker died while still in the midst of shooting Furious 7, the production used CG doubles and Walker’s own brothers to give Brian O’Conner a touching sendoff. Flash forward a decade, and the Fast & Furious saga is ready to cross the finish line… but Vin Diesel can’t see it happening without getting to say another goodbye to Paul Walker.
“That moment in 2013 when the world was struggling with his loss, the studio made a very bold and righteous and daring decision to keep Brian O’Conner alive,” Vin Diesel told Total Film. “I will give you this without spoiling anything: I couldn’t imagine this saga ending without truly saying goodbye to Brian O’Conner.” Most have expected that we hadn’t seen the last of Brian O’Conner, particularly as Paul Walker’s family has said that they’re open to bringing his character back digitally.
