Ryan Gosling’s The Fall Guy promised extreme action and even intense drama, and more than the fight sequences, the soundtracks of the movie were also carefully curated. A lot of discussion and deliberation went on inside the room to pick the most appropriate songs for every scene.
Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy
There’s a variety of soundtracks used in The Fall Guy. From the heart-wrenching Taylor Swift break-up song ‘All Too Well’ to a karaoke version of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Genie in a Bottle’, fans would not be able to guess what track comes next.
Ryan Gosling Did Not Like One Of The Fall Guy’s Main Soundtracks
The Fall Guy also featured some classic hits like the 1979 Kiss song ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’, but it almost did not make the cut as everyone seemed to hate it. Director David Leitch was the one who proposed the idea.

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses plot elements from “The Fall Guy,” now playing in theaters.
Long before Taylor Swift embarked on the Eras Tour, director David Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick had the idea to use “All Too Well” as a key moment in “The Fall Guy.”
McCormick, a self-professed Swiftie, and Leitch were trying to find a fresh and contemporary song to fit into a particular scene.
In the film, Ryan Gosling plays Colt Seavers, one of Hollywood’s top stuntmen. After experiencing an on-set accident, he falls off the grid for 18 months, ghosting aspiring director Jody (Emily Blunt), someone he also happens to be dating. The two awkwardly reunite on the set of her directorial debut, and when they wrap their first day, Colt retreats to his pickup truck reflecting on happier times with Jody.
McCormick thought a Swift song would be perfect for that scene, and even Gosling agreed.

Lift is one of the first major new Netflix movie releases of 2024, and the soundtrack features the likes of System of a Down, Curtis Mayfield, and Bruno Mars.
Coming from 6th & Idaho Productions and Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat Productions, the new heist movie sees a big ensemble cast hatching a plan to steal over $100 million of gold while midflight in a 777 passenger plane. The cast for the new movie includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sam Worthington, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Úrsula Corberó.
In our review of the new Kevin Hart movie, we actually gave the Mvp award to the soundtrack (Andrew specifically referred to the needle drops). As a result, we’ve eagerly compiled the full list of tracks, whether from the soundtrack or the original soundtrack from its composers.

In a landscape where streaming services are operating more and more like cable networks, it is important for platforms to take risks. In theory, that could take many forms, from greenlighting an unconventional story to introducing features solely unique to that platform. Netflix has tried taking some risks in the past with its platform, but very rarely do they result in any substantial changes.
"Kaleidoscope," created by novelist and screenwriter Eric Garcia, is another risk taker. The show centers around an ambitious bank heist led by the mysterious Leo Pap (Giancarlo Esposito), a concept that sounds pretty run-of-the-mill on its own. However, it's the show's eight-episode structure that takes center stage. All of the show's episodes, excluding a brief intro and the heist-centric finale, are randomly ordered for each user, resulting in the story playing out in a uniquely non-linear fashion.

Bullet Train Composer Dominic Lewis Wanted The Score To Have A 'Concept Album Mentality' [Interview]
With an array of colorful characters and set pieces, Dominic Lewis rarely had to hit the breaks when it came to composing the score for "Bullet Train," allowing him the ability to explore a variety of creative impulses. As he told us, a few ideas might've gone too far (such as a fantastic-sounding spin on the "Thomas the Tank Engine" theme song), but he's reeling from the creative freedom he had scoring director David Leitch's film.
Lewis, who also scored "DuckTales," "The Man in the High Castle," and "The King's Man," put together a lively score for the "Bullet Train," which...

A musical hint comes at the very start of “Bullet Train,” out now, when a new version of the Bee Gees’ disco classic “Stayin’ Alive” is sung in Japanese – because an American assassin code-named Ladybug (Brad Pitt) is going to spend the next two hours attempting to do just that, battling half a dozen other killers on a high-speed train from Tokyo to Kyoto.
An over-the-top movie like “Bullet Train” demanded an over-the-top score, composer Dominic Lewis (“The King’s Man”) decided, and he spent more than a year not only writing the entire score but also producing (and in several cases co-writing) the songs heard throughout David Leitch’s action thriller.
Leitch’s previous movies have been littered with songs, Lewis knew (“he’s a needle-drop guy”), so his concept became: “Can I write something in the style of a needle-drop, that feels like a song but is doing the job of scoring,...

Updated with video review: Right from the start, you know exactly what you are in for with Bullet Train, a non-stop mix of violence, comedy and more violence, Japanese-style, as filtered through the lens of director David Leitch, a stuntman-turned-filmmaker whose past credits of Atomic Blonde, Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw, and Deadpool 2 pretty much prepare you for what to expect here. However, even though this was mostly shot on the Sony Pictures lot in Culver City, with some killer production design and a cool train courtesy of David Scheunemann, it undoubtedly feels we are in Tokyo where I am sure the Sony bosses were delighted with the dailies as they came in.
Unfortunately, from my vantage point this just seems like a lark for star Brad Pitt, coming off an Oscar for the far superior Quentin Tarantino masterpiece Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, also from Sony,...

Because The Man in the High Castle comprises three different cultures, the music in the show must depict the world of the Japanese-occupied Pacific States, the Greater Nazi Reich in the east, and, in season 3, the neutral zone where a wild-west version of America clings to existence. So how do you write melodies for this off-kilter reality and the characters that inhabit it? Composer Dominic Lewis has been with the Amazon series from the very start, and his brand of soundtrack, from the Edelweiss opening theme and beyond, has been an integral ingredient of the alternate history story.

Somehow it just doesn’t seem quite right that Peter Rabbit, the long asked for big screen adaptation of the beloved characters and stories by Beatrix Potter, is dogged by such cynicism. The feeling of joy the source material brings is being replaced by negativity and online hoopla. So, is it really as bad as feared or is it another Paddington sized success? To be honest, Peter Rabbit is neither as bad as dreaded nor as fantastic as hoped. Elements of the story remain the same but this is largely different from the kind of tale certain generations will have been expecting or have grown up reading.
The plot sees Peter (James Corden) and his friends constantly gamble with their lives as they encroach on the old killjoy Mr. McGregor’s (Sam Neill) vegetable patch but through 70 years of “questionable life choices”, McGregor suffers an instantly fatal heart attack, leaving...

“DuckTales” makes its triumphant return to TV in a Disney Xd movie, titled “Woo-Oo!,” on Saturday that sets the bar high during this age of reboots and revivals.
In the TV landscape filled with comic book adaptations featuring superheroes, zombies or spies, it’s easy to forget that the much-beloved “DuckTales” also hailed from ink and paper. It’s this source material, however, that gave the series its storytelling heft and visual vibrancy, an irresistible combination that has contributed to the original series’ success and nostalgic longevity. This was not some treacly, preachy after-school fare, but rather zippy escapism that built in serialized installments.
Fortunately, the reboot of the series keeps all of those important original hallmarks. “American Idol” alum Felicia Barton re-recorded the signature theme song but keeps its sense of fun and excitement intact. The animation...

With a title that most studio comedies set over a single evening could adopt, Rough Night riffs on Very Bad Things, Bridesmaids, The Hangover — and even some Jawbreaker and Weekend at Bernie’s, for good measure — as murder and farce coalesce at a bachelorette party. It’s the sort of premise one hopes will wring out a bit of tension and a good deal of laughs as its talented ensemble walk a high-wire act of crime. While Lucia Aniello (one of many from Broad City involved here) brings a certain energy in her directorial debut and the cast do comedically click, Rough Night too often feels watered-down with a blatant disregard for basic logic, resulting in a comedy that’s ultimately more exasperating than clever.

Notably absent, meanwhile, are “Arrival” (which just landed a Golden Globe nod), “Manchester by the Sea” and “Silence.”

The fourth film directed by Jodie Foster fancies itself a ripped from the headlines wail from the bottom of the economic ladder. A thriller-cum-exposé into how Wall Street and big media suckered average Americans into following the Pied Pipers of TV's financial punditry class over the cliff into economic ruin. However, the movie we're really getting is...

Nominations for the 41st Annual Annie Awards were announced and "Frozen" and "Monsters University" led the pack with 10 nominations each. "Despicable Me 2" and "The Croods" followed closely with 9 noms each.
I am rooting for "Frozen" to win! It's a return to form to what Disney does best -- affecting fairy tale with memorable musical numbers. "Monsters University," on the other hand, was bland. The film bored me on second viewing.
Steven Spielberg will receive the Winsor McCay Award for career achievement at the awards ceremony happening on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus. Patrick Warburton will serve as host.
