Stage actors – with minimal scope for makeup or prosthetics between scenes – tend to find it easier to age down than up
There are various ways of measuring a play: the number of characters or scenes, the presence or absence of an interval, and the average length of speeches. But Di and Viv and Rose – the Amelia Bullmore tragi-comedy currently having a second, sold-out run at the Hampstead theatre in London – suggests a new statistic: story years.
In 120 minutes of action, Bullmore follows three college friends across almost three decades (1983-2010), which places the play just ahead of Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along (which covers 23 years, 1957-80, in the Maria Friedman production that is deservedly about to transfer from the Menier Chocolate Factory to London's West End). These shows travel through history so rapidly that the Simon Stephens play Port, which recently opened at the National, feels almost laggardly...

It's hard to believe, but it's already been eight years since Hollywood's one-time golden couple announced they were separating.

For those who follow these sorts of things, we would like to explain that our separation is not the result of any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media. This decision is the result of much thoughtful consideration. We happily remain committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another. We ask in advance for your kindness and sensitivity in the coming months.
Much has happened in the last eight years, as both parties have moved on and formed new lives with new loves.

We aren't quite sure if this is the mark of good or band parenting, but Disney has just confirmed that Angelina Jolie's daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt will make her feature film debut opposite her mother in the upcoming movie "Maleficent." She'll play a young version of Sleeping Beauty.
Considering most people probably know that character created for the 1959 Disney version of the fairytale isn't exactly the nicest person, we're intrigued by the fact that Jolie is letting her 4-year-old see her in her most evil role yet. Vivienne will be the first of the Jolie-Pitt's brood to make the jump to the big screen. Her part as young Aurora will be a small one, as Elle Fanning is playing Sleeping Beauty for the majority of the film. In fact, we'd guess that Vivienne will only play Aurora when she is being cursed by Maleficent at the beginning of the well-known fairy tale.

Washington, Sept 26: Hollywood celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly sold the first pictures of their twins Knox and Vivienne to a news outlet for a sum of 14 million dollars, in a bid to control the way their babies were introduced to the public.
Pitt revealed that the decision to sell his twins' pictures off to a certain publication when they were born was to ensure that the paparazzi did not profit from any pictures of the babies.
"It's a very strange thing to be selling photos of something that's very intimate and personal. And those of which you want to protect. We have to plan.

Brad Pitt has said that it was "strange" to sell pictures of his twins Knox and Vivienne to Hello and People. The Moneyball star opened up about the motivation behind the decision to sell the photographs of his children with partner Angelina Jolie. They have their heroes who got the big, scandalous shot, which just promotes more of that." He continued: "It's a very strange thing to be selling photos of something that's very intimate and personal. And those of which you want to protect. After shifting between art house and major commercial success for nearly two decades, Quentin Tarantino hit it huge in 2008 with his World War II revenge film, "Inglourious Basterds." A critical smash, the flick took in $320 million worldwide, obliterating his previous high of $180 million for "Kill Bill: Volume I," and won Christoph Waltz an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
So in this Hollywood climate of sequels, prequels and re-dos, why not make another? According to Brad Pitt, that just may happen.
Pitt, who starred in the film as Aldo Raine, the Army First Lieutenant that leads Jewish-American soldiers on a campaign of Nazi scalp collecting (100 per soldier, to be exact), sat down with NPR to discuss his career ahead of the release of his latest film, "Moneyball." When the conversation turned to talk of a scar on his character's neck, Pitt spilled that Tarantino plans on explaining the mark -- in the future.

The couple brought Knox and Vivienne to their favorite Big Apple art store on Sunday, and yesterday it was the four older kids' turns to pick out some toys.
