Bianca Mina is a passionate and creative writer-director-producer with her eye on the international market. Bianca's film career started in 2008 with the Panamanian documentary Fuera De Casa, which was broadcast and screened in festivals across Latin America and spans the globe. After a 2-year mentorship program with a producer in Hollywood, Bianca moved to narrative material while developing content for Romania's biggest studio, Media Pro. She was creative producer for Pro TV's hit sitcom Tanti Florica, based on BBC's Bafta Award winning Mrs. Brown's Boys. She then relocated to Paris where she made two short films and directed theatre with the American theatre group, "Big Funk Company". Most recently she produced A Son Of Man, Ecuador's Official Entry for the 2019 Oscar Foreign Language Category, which was filmed entirely in the jungles of Ecuador. Up next, her work as a screenwriter can be seen in Vlad - a prime-time thriller series on Pro TV, premiering in February. Bianca just finished post-production on Ballad, a short film she wrote and directed, which will be hitting the festival circuit in the spring. Bianca holds a BA in Film Studies from the American University of Paris, represented Romania in 2018 at the World Conference of Screenwriters in Berlin and occasionally hosts workshops on women in film.
