Not everyone is a fan of New York Fashion Week! Estée Lauder's Modern Muse party was thrown at the tail end of the stylish extravaganza in NYC, and a vintage Yves Saint Laurent-clad Maggie Gyllenhaal was among the revelers. But don't expect to see her in a front row soon. When asked what her favorite part of Fashion Week is, she confessed, "I don't love it." Maggie will check out an occasional "tiny party" for emerging designers, including her pal Ryan Roche. There's an added consideration for Maggie - make that two, actually - her kids, 6-year-old Ramona and 1-year-old Gloria. Maggie said, "I always feel a little bad actually at Fashion Week because it's right when my kids are going back to school. So I'm always like, 'I'm gonna go out!' I always feel a little torn. But I guess I like that. Just being a little bad!

Fashion has always loved a superhero. Here's our guide to the summer's on-trend crusaders
With The Dark Knight Rises' shadow about to fall on our cinema screens and Andrew Garfield's Spidey reworking teen angst in The Amazing Spider-Man, plus comic-hero T-shirts from French Connection and A Bathing Ape, superhero style is hard to miss this summer. As 2008's Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy exhibit at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art suggested, fashion has long loved a caped crusader. Here's a guide to the most on-trend superheroes – and villains – in 2012.
Catwoman
The look Eartha Kitt's purr made Catwoman hers in the 60s Batman series, but her shiny catsuit always looked a bit low-rent. Michelle Pfeiffer, in Tim Burton's 1992 Batman Returns (left), is a fashion favourite – adding menace through kitty scratches on Pvc and red lipstick. Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises has a lot to live up to.

By now, you may have caught wind of Anja Rubik's newest endeavor, 25 magazine, but with all the gimmicky model-turned-actresses and celebrity-turned-designers out there, you're probably wondering if the veteran high-fashion catwalk queen (and solitary world traveler) could actually curate and edit a magazine. Spoiler alert: she can.
Rubik, who was helping a friend with the magazine about a year and a half ago, was awarded the rights to the glossy when he no longer wanted to work on it. The 29-year-old, who says she really loved the number 25 (she told The Cut, "It’s something you can really play with. And I love the idea of tweaking it into the new 69") is certainly no stranger to nudity, but she had a serious problem with how sexuality is perceived.

Despite the fact that Naomi, Christy, Cindy, Linda, and Claudia show no signs of slowing down (read: Cindy's S Moda cover, Naomi closing Roberto Cavalli's Fall 2012 show), and we've passed the second wave of Supers (Alessandra, Kate, Doutzen, Gisele, Natalia, Miranda, Adriana and Heidi), it's probably about time to usher in the new generation. Clearly among the ranks are ladies like Karlie Kloss and Lindsey Wixson, but UK's Telegraph just published an article crediting Alice Dellal, Cara Delevingne and Lily Donaldson as their high-ranking comrades. I'm not sure I agree.

Diane Kruger was decked out in an embellished Jason Wu cape look at the opening of the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami Beach on Saturday. Diane was joined by the designer himself for the event, which was also attended by Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina Blaquier as well as model Arizona Muse. It was Diane's second fashionable outing in as many days since she stepped out in Derek Lam for the premiere of Farewell, My Queen in Paris on Thursday. Diane took advantage of the warm Florida weather to hit the beach with a friend yesterday, though she didn't show off her bikini body. Instead she wore an orange striped cover up and a hat. Her boyfriend, Joshua Jackson, couldn't join her for the trip since he was busy in Anaheim, CA, at WonderCon, where he promoted Fringe. View Slideshow ›...

Christian Schoonis, Benjamin Millepied, and Stefano Pilati. Yves Saint Laurent's cherished designer Stefano Pilati was in town last week to celebrate a night of vanity and fabulousness at Indochine to toast Benjamin Millepied (famed choreographer of Black Swan and father-to-be to Natalie Portman's new baby), who will be the new face of Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme Libre. Appropriately, in French, "Millepied" means "thousand feet"! So be free (libre), and take a leap with Benjamin and L'Homme Libre, as this gorgeous and sexy fragrance for men will stay with you for more than a thousand feet. Arizona Muse and Lindsey Wixson.
