Vince Steib, Director of Photography & Lighting Designer, is a multi-nominated and double recipient of the Emmy Award - television's highest recognition. Having worked in the broadcasting industry for over 40 years, he has extensive worldwide experience in both live television and special events for the ABC television network.
Throughout his career, which began in 1978 as a stage hand and engineer at ABC Television in Hollywood, California, Vince quickly excelled in the industry to become a preferred multi-camera operator for major shows such as American Bandstand, Soul Train, Dance Fever, ABC Sports, Hour Magazine with Gary Collins, KABC Eyewitness News, World News Tonight, Nightline remotes (live segments), The American Music Awards, and The Emmy Awards for FOX Television, to name a few.
Vince's travels abroad as a Lighting Designer & Director of Photography include working on many live broadcasts such as World News Tonight with Peter Jennings in Europe, South America, Canada, China, and Haiti, as well as working remotes throughout the United Sates and Europe with Joan Lunden and Charles Gibson on Good Morning America.
Having done over 6,000 hours of live television for the ABC Television Network, Vince is currently working as a Lighting Designer on the award-winning daytime soap opera General Hospital, in addition to working on numerous pilots and consulting with NBC affiliates. All of Vince's work consists of working with executive producers and directors designing looks, making decisions on which cameras, lenses and filters to use, the work flow for editing purposes, as well as working with art directors and set designers providing post-production suggestions.
