Looks like guest starring on the Castle two-parter is a good luck charm. Last year, Dana Delaney played FBI Agent Jordan Shaw on the season 2 combo episode and a couple of weeks later, she had scored a new gig as the lead of ABC's new drama Body of Proof - which premieres next Tuesday (March 29th) at 10pm.
This season, the lucky guy was former Heroes star, Adrian Pasdar. He guest starred as Homeland Security Agent Mark Fallon on Castle's season 3 two-parter "Setup" and "Countdown" and sure enough, just a few weeks later he has been cast as the lead of a new NBC comedy.
Pasdar and Sarah Paulson will play the leads of this workplace comedy and the pilot - still untitled - is penned by The New Adventures of Old Christine's creator, Kari Lizer. The plot tells the story of Mary Leahy (Paulson), a woman who...

Well, guess what, Castle fans! ABC decided to be generous and has released the sneak peeks for “Countdown” 24 hours earlier than usual. And let me tell you, this episode is going to be explosive. I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely loved “Setup” (you can read my review here) and I am biting my nails wondering just how Castle and Beckett are going to get out of that freezer.
The sneak peeks will give you a glimpse on what’s going to go down during their forced – and life threatening – quarantine. Things will be very intense for our favorite dynamic duo and feelings may or may not be revealed (very, very subtly, guys. You know how this show rolls and you have to pay attention to the subtext) during that scene.
We will get to see Heroes Adrian Pasdar guest starring as Dhs Agent Mark Fallon one more time in this episode.

Was this episode insanely brilliant or what, Castle fans?
I have to say it’s a relief that I can finally discuss it with you guys and boy, there is a lot to talk about. First of all, I love the premise of Castle. I love that it’s that kind of show that when an episode ends you had an entire hour of great entertainment and I honestly think that Castle fits the category “dramedy” perfectly.
That said, I absolutely love when they step out of their comfort zone and do episodes like last night’s “Setup”. Once again, they have proved they can do suspense and action as well as they do comedy and emotional. It had been a while since I was on the edge of my seat during an entire episode (this season’s “3Xk” was probably the only one that came close to it) and...

I don’t have to tell you what’s at stake.
Castle's much anticipated two part story arc kicked off with “Setup,” an episode that laid the groundwork for what will is sure to be one of the best of the season pay-offs of the season.
This show is no stranger to the extended story, having mesmerized viewers with last seasons’ “Tick, Tick, Tick” and “Boom.” As a loyal Castle fan from the beginning, these two episodes have marked my favorite to date. However, after watching this outing, there may be a new contender.
Adrian Pasdar debuted as Homeland Security Agent Mark Fallon. I was never Heroes viewer, but I do know that he was one of the highlights of the series. The guest star settled into this role comfortably and made quite the impression. So much so that there's even been talk of spinning the agent off.

Adrian Pasdar is probably most widely known for his four-season run as Nathan Petrelli on NBC's Heroes, but his resume includes memorable turns on movies such as the indie horror classic Near Dark, and television shows like The Twilight Zone, Desperate Housewives, Judging Amy, and numerous others. Tonight, Pasdar brings his unique brand of soft-spoken intelligence-infused machismo to ABC's Castle for a two episode guest spot as Department of Homeland Security agent Mark Fallon (see our sneak peek of the episode here and watch the first 10 minutes of "Setup" here). I had a chance to chat with Pasdar last week about his character, and gave him the chance to dispel the rumor that Nathan Fillion is a nice guy - read on for the results.
Tell me about your character on Castle
The character is Dhs agent Mark Fallon. It’s an interesting combination of perspectives that brought this guy to life.

Yes, tonight’s episode of Castle is everything it’s been touted to be: a high-stakes race to save New York City from extreme devastation. It’s a nail-biter unlike anything we’ve seen on the show up to this point, but it’s also, at its heart, an episode of Castle. And guest star Adrian Pasdar, who joins the series for two episodes as Homeland Security agent Mark Fallon, told EW that it was that fact — not getting a chance to play a sharp, tough-talking agent – that was most satisfying of all.

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before, but ABC’s Castle is bringing on a familiar face to help the NYPD get to the bottom of a case a bit bigger than they’re used to tackling. But whereas a year ago it was Dana Delany playing a prickly G-Woman, this Monday at 10/9c, you get Adrian Pasdar as a hardcore Homeland Security honcho. And whereas Delany’s FBI Agent Jordan Shaw was enlisted to track a serial killer picking off innocents one-by-one, Pasdar’s Agent Mark Fallon is on hand to stop someone from killing a whole lotta people at once.

Are you tired of teasers and random tidbits about “Setup” yet, Castle fans?
With only the weekend separating you from one of the best episodes to date on the hit show, I know the diehard fans are dying to get their hands on any information about the first half of the two-parter they can get.
Well, your wish is my command.
ABC released the sneak peeks for episode 3.16, along with a 10-minute clip we posted early this morning. Are they being incredibly generous with Castle fans or what? Let’s not forget that both “Setup” and “Countdown” will have Heroes’ Adrian Pasdar guest starring as Homeland Security Agent Mark Fallon, who will help our dynamic duo to solve the case when a terrorist bomb threat looms over New York City.
You can also expect some development on the Beckett/Josh front and also somewhat on the Caskett front. Let’s...

On the Feb. 21 episode of ABC's "Castle," the first in a two-parter, Adrian Pasdar makes his first TV appearance since the unceremonious end of "Heroes" in 2010.
Playing Homeland Security agent Mark Fallon, Pasdar comes in to assist Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Beckett (Stana Katic) in uncovering a terror plot in New York. Head-butting ensues.
Pasdar tells Zap2it this isn't even his first opportunity to join the series. He was recently offered the role of Castle's friend (and murder suspect) in the Feb. 14 episode, "The Final Nail." He held out for something meatier, which happened pretty quickly.
"It just didn't seem appropriate," says Pasdar. "They came back a few weeks later with this episode. It was really well written, and it ended up being a two-parter."
From our viewing of the first part, we can confirm that it is one of the more suspenseful outings the show has ever put out,...

Adrian Pasdar has revealed that his upcoming guest role on Castle could lead to a spinoff series. The former Heroes star will play hard-boiled FBI agent Mark Fallon in a two-part story arc. "I got a very nice letter back from [Castle creator] Andrew Marlowe the other day," he explained. "I said, 'Hey how about we do a season ender with Fallon, sort of a backdoor pilot spinoff?' "Just kind of as a joke, I sent it off saying what a great time I had, and I got a very nice letter saying, 'Well it's not too far off from what we're thinking about'." According to The TV Addict, Pasdar admitted (more)...

TV, I wish I knew how to quit you.
Actually…no I don’t. Without you, we’d all be bored, heartless, apathetic loners. Let’s never part. I’ll make you a deal: You stay highly entertaining, I’ll spoil, and we will all promise to consume our television programming greedily. And judging by what’s coming up on Castle, Outsourced, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl and a ton of other shows, you’re going to be keeping up your end of the bargain.
