This weekend, 2nd and 3rd November 2012, sees the birth of Autumn: Horror in the East, a brand new, free to attend, horror fiction convention to be held in the seaside town of Lowestoft, Suffolk, the setting for Them or Us, the final book in British author David Moody’s recently concluded Hater trilogy (the film rights for which were picked up by Pan's Labyrinth director and horror auteur Guillermo del Toro). Named after Moody’s innovative quintet of zombie apocalypse novels, the convention will be held at the town’s Aspire Centre and will play host to a dozen of the genre’s best writers, including Joseph D’Lacey, Joseph Freeman, Adam Baker, Iain McKinnon, Adam Millard, Conrad Williams, Andrew Hook, Paul S. Huggins, Sean T. Page and David Moody himself.

London based romantic comedy 'The Callback Queen', written and directed by Graham Cantwell (Trapped, Anton) has finished principal photography and has entered post production. The independent film stars Irish actors Amy Joyce Hastings (The Tudors, Little Deaths), Ger Ryan (Raw, Intermission) and Sean T. O'Meallaigh (Kings, Seacht). The story follows the exploits of Kate Loughlin played by Hastings who is an ambitious but unlucky actress on the cusp of her big break and is set in the cut throat world of the London film industry.
