We told you last month about Bryan Singer‘s H+ The Digital Series, the futuristic online series where the human race is hardwired to the Internet – it does sound great, doesn’t it? but apparently in the series, this is a “bad” thing – and we’re happy to report that the first two episodes are now live.
Admittedly, I haven’t always been a fan of web series. This, however, is great. It is completely professional in every way, with absolutely top notch production values. And I would like to see all of it right now. Unfortunately, if you didn’t click on it by noon Pacific time yesterday, you only get to see the first two episodes. The good news: two new episodes will be released at noon Pacific every Wednesday for a total of 48(!) episodes.

As studios, distributors, and filmmakers in general continue to look for refreshing new ways to have their work seen by as wide an audience as possible -- whether it be on television, digital shorts, etc. -- one of those potentially promising outlets seems to be the web series format. While we can't say that a particularly successful title sticks out to us at the moment (besides maybe the hilarious "Burning Love" created by Ken Marino), producer Bryan Singer looks to be offering up something that will surely entice the resident sci-fi enthusiasts. The trailer for the Singer-produced webseries "H+" has arrived, and by the looks of it, it should offer up a dose of heady genre work. From a script by John Cabrera and Cosimo De Tommaso, "H+" is set in a future world where engaging technology has moved from being on smart phones and iPads to pushing itself further...

Director Bryan Singer (X-Men) was set to begin working on his big-screen version of the King Arthur tale Excalibur once he completed his latest project, Jack the Giant Killer. Then in June, Singer’s Knights of the Round table project was ditched when Warner Bros. Pictures picked up Arthur and Lancelot.
Singer told SFX that without Excalibur on his slate, he was able to work on his long-gestating Battlestar Galactica project:
“it allowed me to go straight into developing Battlestar Galactica – which I think will be really exciting.”
Singer also dropped some details on a sci-fi web series he’s prepping called H+: The Digital Series:
“This is going to be really cool, there are going to be around 40 to 50 episodes, broadcast exclusively on the internet, and each one is going to last for just three to six minutes. It is quite addictive. I like to describe it as an apocalyptic,...

H+ Trailer. Bryan Singer‘s H+ (2011) trailer is directed by Stewart Hendler, stars Samuli Vauramo, Hannah Herzsprung, and is written/created by John Cabrera and Cosimo De Tommaso. H+‘s plot synopsis: “H+: The Digital Series takes viewers on a journey into an apocalyptic future where technology has begun to spiral out of control…. In 2019, 33% of the world’s population has retired its cell phones and laptops in favor of a stunning new device – an implanted computer system called H+.
This tiny tool allows the user’s own mind and nervous system to be connected to the Internet 24 hours a day. But something else is coming… something dark and vicious… and within seconds, billions of people will be dead… opening the door to radical changes in the political and social landscape of the planet — prompting survivors to make sense of what went wrong.”
H+ will be an episodic two-and-a-half hour series.

The first details of "H+: The Digital Series" were revealed during their panel at Comic-Con this past Thursday along with a trailer. Check it all out below.
"H+" explores an apocalyptic future where one third of the world's population is implanted with a computer system called H+ that connects a person's mind and nervous system to the internet 24/7, which isn't very far-fetched given our current always-connected culture. Of course, internet surfing can be dangerous, and before long a virus appears that kills off a big part of the population. "H+" follows the aftermath.
The project is produced by Bryan Singer (X-Men, Battlestar Gallactica) in association with Bad Hat Harry Productions ("House"). The web series is written by John Cabrera ("Gilmore Girls") and Cosimo de Tommaso and is to be directed by Stewart Hendler (Sorority Row). Look for it on the web this fall.

Like always, Comic Con International is revealing the schedule of events day by day. It certainly makes planning a lot easier. But that's neither here nor there. There's a lot of panels to cover, so let's just get to it. Check out the pertinent film and television panels set for the first two days of the show after the jump.

We're less than two weeks away from the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, and convention organizers have finally released the schedule for the first day of programing. You can find the full schedule on comic-con.org [1], or after the jump I've listed the film and television highlights, which includes the Masters of the Web panel which I've been invited to be a panelist on (In full disclosure, I've been asked to be on this panel for a few years now, but I've only just recently gotten over my fear of speaking in front of large audiences). It should be a fun panel, and I hear they will be giving away some really cool prizes as well. Warner Premiere released Watchmen: The Complete Motion Comic in 2008. The series of a dozen 20-minute installments brings Alan Moore's epic superhero critique to life through the illustrations of Dave Gibbons and the voice of Tom Stechschulte. Viewers who like watching the Watchmen could originally catch the series on iTunes and later find it online or on DVD with all the shiny extras (which currently still ranks at #78 on Amazon's Animated, Superhero, Action & Adventure Movies & TV Shows Bestseller List). The motion comic was so successful for Warner Premiere that over the next two years the media company released seven more, bringing 2D images from properties like Batman, Peanuts, Bat Girl, and Jonah Hex to life. During that time, Warner Premiere also debuted a six-part Terminator Salvation Machinima series and an animated visual album for the four piece, British indie rock group One eskimO. Other major motion picture studios and...
