Several actors were billed as series regulars on Gilmore Girls during its seven-season run. Not every major star was a series regular, though. Fans might have noticed that the show listed a few stars as special guests despite appearing regularly on the show. Jared Padalecki, who portrayed Rory Gilmore’s love interest Dean Forrester, was credited as a guest on Gilmore Girls. The Gilmore Girls intro billed Edward Herrmann the same way. Valerie Campbell, a production team member, recently revealed exactly how Padalecki’s billing allowed him to move onto another show with ease.
Jared Padalecki was billed as a special guest on ‘Gilmore Girls’
In a TikTok video, Valerie Campbell, the key set costumer for Gilmore Girls, explained that the contractual obligations for a special guest are completely different from those of a series regular. Sure, the designation had some drawbacks. For example, special guests are not paid unless they are on set.

Tom Cruise has made a career out of playing action heroes. Jessica Chastain, however, was very new to the role when she was cast in The Debt. Fortunately, she was able to find inspiration from Cruise to feel believable in a very unfamiliar role.

One of the few Israeli delegates who attended last week’s Mipcom Cannes has said he made the trip because “we will not let them win.”
“Hamas wants to stop our personal, professional and business life,” Dori Media boss Nadav Palti told Deadline on day one of the market. “And if we didn’t come then I would feel like they have won because they are trying to stop our daily life. This is why I go to all this effort.”
Some 70 Israelis were initially expected in the south of France but this number ended up being in the single figures following the brutal Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, which led to around 1,400 civillian deaths and 200 people being kidnapped, the majority of whom are still being held captive.

Well now, it’s being reported that the duke’s wish list of guests was not something the streaming service wanted any part of. Here’s more on that and what a commentator is saying about the prince getting off his “privileged backside” and finding actual work.

The 2022 Oscars had its moments, and while there’s one that most viewers are buzzing about, there’s another that caught the attention of some and that would be Lady Gaga helping Liza Minnelli during their joint presenting moment. It’s always a shock when actual drama breaks out during the glossy but typically inert 2022 Oscars broadcast. And that’s just what happened when presenter Chris Rock got fresh with a throwaway joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, and former Fresh Prince (and soon-to-be Best Actor winner) Will Smith threw what looked to the TV audience like a roundabout slap at the comedian. It was a startling wake-up moment well into the third hour of the show, causing the sort of what-just-happened Oscar buzz we haven’t seen since the wrong Best Picture winner was announced back in 2017. This outburst by the famously genial Smith was even more surreal, as he sat back in his seat and shouted obscenities at Rock, whose G.I. Big stars – and lots of those not-so-famous actors hoping to ride the Sundance Film Festival train to that same spot in the Hollywood firmament – descended on Park City for Sundance 2019 as the fest’s first weekend unfolded from January 24 to 27. Happily, the weather cooperated (cold but clear) and there were parties, premieres, brunches, dinners and dances all day and all night. The most popular game became a contest: how many gatherings could you hit in one day? And how many outfit changes could you pull off? Awkwafina and Naomi Watts played that one like bosses.
Sundance 2019 is all about diversity and inclusiveness, as women are making bold moves on both sides of the camera and the stories being told encompass the rainbow of human experiences. And there was even a bona fide second line, straight from the heart of New Orleans onto snowy Main Street. It’s been a time to celebrate change,...
