- Philippe Joly is a French/Russian actor living in Hong Kong. He regularly plays the villain in action films across Asia, and has been given the Chinese name Langsen (literally Wolf Forest) because of his look and in reference to the Wolverine character.

In a decade long career, he has shared the screen with Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jackie Chan, John Cusack, David Belle, Andy Lau, Lau Ching Wan, Takeshi Kaneshiro, and more.
Aside from acting, Joly is a supporter of independent filmmaking, and regularly writes screenplays, and directs short films and independent projects in Hong Kong.
He speaks several languages (French, Russian, Italian and English), and is an avid practitioner of close-up magic and cards manipulation. He also has an active business life as an entrepreneur and is known within the startup community for his various startups and tech ventures.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Langsen FIlms
- During the filming of a TV show in Hong Kong for the Russian TV channel Moya Planeta, Philippe Joly was speaking English and his voice was later dubbed into Russian when the show aired in Russia. This is ironic because Philippe Joly can actually speak Russian fluently. But because the show was filmed in Hong Kong, the producers preferred if all guests spoke English, in order not to confuse the Russian audience.
