- Scott Perry, ( AKA Scott Sensei ) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born Howard Scott Perry and is best known as a pioneer in accent reduction techniques for Japanese speakers. Scott moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA in pursuit of a golfing career at the age of 17. There he also studied philosophy, stage directing, and Japanese as a second language. Scott began teaching Japanese people as a way to improve his own language skills and has been working with Japanese people ever since.
Having worked closely with Japanese speakers since 1985, Scott went on to publish several language books, products and developed many of the pronunciation techniques used in Japan today.
Scott met his wife in Japan and they have two children. He is an author, producer, and business owner. Scott's movie work includes dialog coaching and ADR work in 47 Ronin (2013), Pacific Rim (2013), Leonie (2010) and Imago Mortis (2009),. Today, his company works with several actors and singer for commercials, music CDs, and other movie roles.
