Michael Monteiro is an American actor, screenwriter and director who was born in Detroit, Michigan as Michael Henry Monteiro of Cape Verdean descent. The eldest of six children, he was raised in Wareham, Massachusetts for several years before moving to The Bronx borough of New York City. He is best known for I Thought You Knew (2022), To Kill A Cop (2021) and Abigail Haunting (2020).
Achieved a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, Karate and Ju Jitsu.
Retired from the Navy as a Chief Hospital Corpsman. While serving with the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) he became qualified as an Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist.
Graduated with Honors from Lehman College in The Bronx borough of New York City with a Bachelors Degree in Health Education & Promotion.
Is a member of The Golden Key International Honor Society, Lehman College Chapter. Famous Golden Key honorary members include former President, Bill Clinton, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Writer, Political Activist Elie Wiesel.
Studied Health Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.
