Fox Entertainment’s ad-supported streamer Tubi has ordered the TV movie “Classmates,” from the wife and husband team of Danielle Fishel (“Boy Meets World”) and Jensen Karp. Fishel directed and Karp wrote the film, which will debut in 2023.
Anjelica Bette Fellini (“The French Dispatch”) and Kayden Muller-Janssen (“The Villains of Valley View”) star in the film as former high school classmates Anabella and Raury, who have their identities swapped on the first day of college due to a computer hack.
Per the logline: “Despite entirely different backgrounds, races, and personalities, Anabella convinces Raury to leave the mistake uncorrected. The decision to go with the flow creates a massive ripple effect when one of their parents’ shady dealings puts them both in danger. Love Actually isn’t Love Actually without its hedonistic, aging rock star Billy Mack. But Bill Nighy’s outspoken character was nowhere to be seen during the movie’s mini-sequel, which aired as part of NBC’s Red Nose Day fundraising special Thursday.
Many members of the movie’s cast — including Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Liam Neeson, Rowan Atkinson and Colin Firth — took part in the project, which provided a “Where are they now?” look at characters from the popular romantic comedy while highlighting the importance of Red Nose Day, a charity that provides various forms of help to needy kids.

The network on Thursday announced a 16-episode series order for Drop the Mic, an extension of the popular Late Late Show segment in which four celebrities compete in a “rap battle royale.” The winner will be chosen by the studio audience.
