Where would The X Factor be without its strange and hilarious auditions? From furious contestants to a sick bag being called for, it's more than just a music competition.
The judges deserve credit too. These bizarre audition gems couldn't happen without them. Check out our favourites, brought to you in association with TalkTalk's new Bopheads app:
1. Ant and Seb (2008)
The Welsh brothers were a mismatched pair if ever there was one. Ant didn't have a bad pair of lungs on him, but - to put it mildly - Seb wasn't quite so gifted.
From this we can gather that Ant is either a) the best brother a guy could wish for or b) completely deaf in his left ear.
2. Holly 'Big Mouth' Jervis (2008)
Over-confidence is rarely a good sign on The X Factor. The holiday camp performer might have sung to people all across the country, but her 'big and...

The Singer Takes It All begins tomorrow - but this ain't your standard talent show. Nope, it's all a bit sillier than that - hopeful contestants will take to a moving walkway to give it their all, but viewers at home can decide on an app whether they deserve to move forward to the Gold Zone (and a potential cash prize) or if they should move backwards and right off the stage. This is going to be good.
But we wanted to know a little bit more, so who better to ask than host Alan Carr himself? Read on for your guide to The Singer Takes It All...
1. This isn't like all those other singing shows - don't expect any sob stories for one thing.
"When [Channel 4] said a singing show, I thought, 'Oh, that's just what Britain needs, another talent contest!' But then when I heard that it was...

1. Pe-ter Dick-Son!
Abi Alton. Luke Friend. Kingsland Rd. Nobody will ever match Rachel Adedeji will they? Speaking of Rachel Adedeji...
We know it wasn't technically in the Live Shows, but that video never gets old.
2. They gave us Wagner.
Glorious.
3. When they make Dermot dance.
What are the odds that Dermot will be twerking by the end of this year's series?
4. The incredible showmances.
Eggnog Quigglet and The Vickers way back in series 5. I bet The Vickers still has that Vote for Eggnog t-shirt under her pillow.
Harry Styles and Caroline Flack in series 7. A romance for the ages. Very different ages.
That woman who replaced Goldie Cheung. Some guy who was in a rubbish boyband. Yeah, series 8 was a bit rubbish.
Tesco Mary always denied it, but the sexual power of Wagner must surely have been too powerful to resist back in series 7.
5. Genuine moments of joy and happiness.

I can't be the only person who thinks the X Factor's doubled-up 'super-size' auditions aren't working.
Everything you need from an X Factor audition comes on Saturday night. Emotional stories, weeping judges, silly acts, powerful performances. And then along comes Sunday. With the same acts. And the same stories.
Even when there is a twist in the tale, such as likeable bus driver James Macdonald getting the boot on Sunday night, it feels slightly odd and hypocritical of the judges.
On Saturday, a tearful James was praised by Gary Barlow for understanding how important an opportunity The X Factor can be. On Sunday, he was booted out by Gary Barlow for lacking star power and not cutting the mustard. What changed?
Thankfully, The X Factor judges didn't offer him the Bullseye consolation prize of a Bfh (bus fare home). That would have just been rubbing it in.

Goldie Cheung will return for a performance on the X Factor final this weekend. Cheung, who was in the original Top 16 acts for the live shows, will star in a group performance, according to The Sun. The 49-year-old Tai Chi instructor will replace Frankie Cocozza as the final 16 unite for a medley of pop hits including Rihanna's 'We Found Love' and Lady GaGa's 'Edge of Glory'. Cheung withdrew from The X Factor before the live shows, despite being picked to be part of Louis Walsh's final four acts at Judges' (more)...

The X Factor has been thrown into further chaos after tonight's show was delayed by technical difficulties. Viewers were kept waiting for 15 minutes as they tuned in to see the final six perform a 'Lady GaGa vs Queen' tribute and discover who out of Amelia Lily, James Michael, Jonjo Kerr and 2 Shoes would be returning. Instead, ITV screened a montage of some of the series's more notable auditions, including the debut performances of finalists Janet Devlin, Sami Brookes and Johnny Robinson, controversially-axed contestant Jade Richards and Goldie Cheung, who quit after being granted a spot in the final 16 by Louis Walsh. Caroline Flack has said that she was disappointed Goldie Cheung decided to pull out of The X Factor. The Tai Chi instructor quit the competition after Louis Walsh chose her as one of his four finalists for the live shows. The 49-year-old was allegedly unhappy with being seen as a 'joke' act. "Oh man, that was a real shame," Xtra Factor presenter Flack said of Cheung's decision. "I loved Goldie! She was loads of fun and I was looking forward to her big Wagner-style performances." Discussing (more)...

As well as celebrating the best, part of the fun of The X Factor is enduring the hair-ripping-out-awfulness of those acts you despise. The potentially Marmite likes of Kendro, David Wilder and, belatedly, Goldie Cheung, have been denied us, but there's still plenty of wonderfully divisive potential in the 16 acts who remain. Have you already seen enough of Frankie Cocozza's bum? (more)...

X Factor star Goldie Cheung quit the show because she felt under constant pressure to perform for the cameras, it has been claimed. The singer makes it through to the live shows in tonight's episode, but has since left the singing competition and been replaced by another contestant. Cheung didn't want to be separated from her family while competing on The X Factor, but also became concerned over the introduction of cameras in the finalists' house. A neighbour told the Daily Star Sunday: "It's very rural and quiet here. Goldie is very down to earth, she does the school run, goes to the local shops and is a real bubbly character. "Yes, she's got this extrovert side to her but I've been told that she had reservations about (more)...

The X Factor has confirmed that Goldie Cheung has officially withdrawn from the competition. Viewers last night saw the 49-year-old progress to the Judges' Houses stage and discover that she would be mentored by judge Louis Walsh. Reports suggest that Cheung won a place in the live shows, but feared being used as a "joke" act. The ITV1 show has now confirmed that the Tai Chi instructor pulled out after deciding that she did not want to be separated from her family while competing on the live shows. "I have decided to withdraw from the competition because I knew I would miss my family so much. I wish all the finalists the best of luck and look forward to watching them every week," Cheung (more)...

X Factor star Goldie Cheung has quit the show over fears that she had become a 'joke act'. Viewers will see the 49-year-old advance to the Judges' Houses stage of the contest on tomorrow's night's show, while the Daily Mail reports that she had also been selected for the live shows. However, sources told the publication that Cheung has now backed out of The X Factor due to concerns that producers will take advantage of her eccentric routines and turn her into a laughing stock.
