New gymnastics show Tumble made its debut on BBC One this evening (August 9), encouraging celebrities to risk injury for our viewing pleasure once again.
Before the show even made it to air, there were dislocated ankles and Mr Motivator had to pull out altogether with a dislocated knee.
But was the final product satisfying and did the celebrities deliver? Digital Spy has a round-up of the best reaction to Tumble:

Tumble. Celebrity gymnastics. First event: the low bar.

The BBC saw Splash and thought "we want a dire show like that" and made #tumble. The result was 100x worse than Splash. Totally awful TV.

Loved @louissmith1989's Sev-ern! Very Len Goodman!

Chicago – In what could be subtitled, “The Challenge of American Accents,” the new release “Arthur Newman” has a laugh-inducing U.S. inflection face-off between Brits Colin Firth and Emily Blunt. Amid that obstacle, there is a lame road picture that emotionally is false, and makes no sense.
Rating: 2.0/5.0
The film wants to create a mystery, but doesn’t want to solve it. The name “Arthur Newman” has been purchased by a man for reasons that really don’t become clear. Arthur has committed a crime against his ex-wife and family, but that crime is not clear. And when he does hit the road with his new name, he meets a strung out fellow traveler who may be a hooker, but resolves herself rather cleanly and becomes a spunky companion. All the so-called emotional connections between the two are based on a high concept adventure, and features little chemistry between them.

Who is Arthur Newman? That is the very question at the center of Dante Ariola's directorial debut Arthur Newman. Penned by Seven Years in Tibet scribe Becky Johnson, this original dark comedy stars Colin Firth as Arthur Newman, formerly Wallace Avery. See, Avery was a man who'd lost much of his assets and forward momentum. A divorced golf pro thought to be past his prime, he's an annoyance to his girlfriend, a has-been on the circuit, and a disappointment to his son. So, Avery opts out of this floundering life by faking his own death. Firth describes his character and his drastic decision thusly: "They called him the choker because he would always choke on the final hole [in golf]. His marriage proved unsatisfactory. His relationship with his son is unsatisfactory. He has a bad relationship with his current girlfriend. And he just decides not to accept it.. Newly minted ...

Once a hot shot in the world of competitive amateur golf, Wallace failed miserably when he turned pro. Ten years after retiring from the pro tour, he’s lost his job at FedEx. His ex-wife openly pities him. And his thirteen-year-old son hates him. Unable to face his life of quiet desperation any longer, Wallace stages his own death and buys himself a new identity as Arthur Newman. His road trip towards a new life is derailed by the entrance of a beautiful loose cannon, Mike Fitzgerald (Emily Blunt), who’s running from her own past.

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol is Brad Bird's first live-action movie. Think about that for a second. In the film community he's easily one of the most exciting and respected directors out there but he's never released a movie with a flesh and blood person in it. It's fairly mind-boggling. Then you watch The Iron Giant, The Incredibles and Ratatouille and realize the characters in those are way more human than humans are in most movies. The fact of the matter is Brad Bird was simply born to tell entertaining, exciting stories and he's finally doing it with humans with Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol [1], which opened last week in IMAX and opens everywhere else today. Tom Cruise returns as Imf agent Ethan Hunt whose team, including Simon Pegg, Paula Patton and Jeremy Renner, are disavowed and must fight to save the world. In October, /Film spoke to Bird at a...

The Screen Actors Guild has announced their list of nominations for the best performances of 2011. I have to point out that I'm surprised Tom Hardy and Joel Edgarton weren't nominated for their roles in Warrior, because they were pretty damn awesome in that film. I think they deserved a nom more than Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm a huge fan of DiCaprio but his performance in J. Edgar wasn't his best. Brad Pitt will end up taking home the award for Moneyball though. It was great to see Bridesmaids and The Help get a nomination for best ensemble cast. It will be interesting to see who takes home the award on this list, and how many of them will make their way to the Oscars.
Who would you like to see take home the award?
