"Metal is power. Metal is speed. Metal is... the key to everything." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for Metal Lords, a new rock band comedy made by filmmaker Peter Sollett. Based on a script written by D.B. Weiss. This one is arriving on Netflix at the beginning of April. Two kids start a metal band in a high school where exactly only these two kids care about metal. They can't find a bassist, but there is this one girl who plays the cello. They need to work together if they're ever going to win the Battle of the Bands - so they bring in the cellist. There’s an influx of original programming over at Nickelodeon as the network, ever aimed at younger audiences, has given the green light to several new series, some of which sound so bizarre from name alone. But I’ve come to expect the weirdest of TV shows to be aimed at children, so when I hear the title Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket I immediately thought of something that would air on Nickelodeon.
As learned from THR, the greenlit series include the animated Bad Seeds, about a Bird named Harvey and his two friends Fee and Fo, from Spongebob Squarepants C.H. Greenblatt; and the aforementioned Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket, absurd interwoven stores about four friends and roommates. Both series were given 26 episode orders and sound as though they will be just as crazy as any other animated series on Nickelodeon.
