Former Jeopardy! champion Ryan Long surprised fans over the weekend with a rare social media post, where he shared a selfie of his new clean-shaven look and also appeared to have lost weight. “Just checking in on planet Earth, hope you’re all doing well today. #clean,” Long tweeted alongside the photo, which sees the fan-favorite contestant sporting a baseball cap and Superman chain. Unlike his bearded look on Jeopardy!, Long is completely clean-shaven in the new snap. “Wow! At first I thought this was your son. You look fabulous!!!” commented one fan. “Wondered how you were doing…glad you checked in! Looking healthy (and young!) with that clean shave,” said another commenter. Ray Lalonde‘s winning streak came to an end Tuesday, January 3, after an impressive 13-game run and a winning total of 386,400, cementing his spot in the next Tournament of Champions 2023 and making him the latest in a recent flurry of Jeopardy! super-champs. A scenic artist from Toronto, Lalonde is the second-winningest Canadian contestant ever, placing behind Halifax, Nova Scotia native Mattea Roach, who last year won 23 straight games, putting her in fifth place for the longest streak in the show’s history. Both are among seven players to have won 10 or more games on the show in 2021 or 2022. Starting with Matt Amodio‘s 38-game winning streak in 2021, Jeopardy! has seen a conveyor belt of super-champs. Amodio’s record was soon broken by Tournament of Champions victor Amy Schneider, who racked up 40 consecutive wins in 2022, placing her second to Ken Jennings (74) on the all-time leaderboard. This was followed by Roach, Ryan Long...

Jeopardy!‘s latest super-champ, Cris Pannullo, continued his winning streak on Tuesday, November 29, picking up his 17th consecutive victory after a closely-fought game. The New Jersey native banked another 44,000 on Tuesday’s episode after defeating healthcare administrator Matt Harvey and philanthropic advisor Sheila Anderson. Pannullo’s total winnings now stand at 610,344, putting him in fifth place for all-time regular-season earnings (and ninth if you include tournaments). Pannullo, a former poker pro and customer service operations manager, has also climbed to ninth place for the longest Jeopardy! winning streaks, surpassing fan-favorite Ryan Long, who won 16 games in a row earlier this year. However, he’s still a ways off the top spot held by Ken Jennings (74 wins) — today (November 30) is actually 18 years to the day since Jennings’ reign as Jeopardy! champion ended when he lost his 75th game to Nancy Zerg. Tuesday’s game was Pannullo’s toughest test yet, as...

Ryan Long, the fan-favorite Jeopardy! champion, who won 16 consecutive games back in June, has lost in the first round of the Tournament of Champions, which premiered on Monday, October 31. The Philadelphia-based Uber driver was up against attorney Megan Wachspress (6 wins) and executive assistant Maureen O’Neil (4 wins), two of the lower-seeded contestants in the competition. Many viewers expected this to give Long a distinct advantage, seeing as he’d won an impressive 16 games and 299K in his previous outing. However, Long could not repeat his success, as he struggled with the increased difficulty of the questions. This included a category literally named “This Category is Confusing,” which completely stumped the former champ. “I don’t know, couldn’t begin to guess,” Long said as he randomly landed on a Daily Double. Wachpress and O’Neil didn’t fare much better as they also had difficulty with the complexity of the questions.
