Marina V is an award-winning Russian-American recording pop artist,
singer and songwriter. Classically trained in her hometown of Moscow,
Marina has been singing and writing songs since she was a child. She
won a prestigious scholarship and came to America at age 15 to pursue her
American Dream. She attended University in
Illinois and, upon graduating from college, moved to
Los Angeles. She has released several albums and toured the world
since - from the famed Kodak Theater in Hollywood to the American
Embassy in Moscow.
Marina has written songs for films, ads such as Pepsi, video games and
has licensed her songs to many TV shows, from NBC and CBS to OWN: Oprah
Winfrey Network, The National Geographic, Sony Russia, The Liftime
Network, etc.
She is a recent recipient of an award from Sir Bob Geldof for her song
"You Make Me Beautiful" and a winner of the LA Music Critic Award for
her song "Run".
Marina lives in Los Angeles with her husband/co-writer, Nicholas Baker.
Marina V served as a Russian Language Technical Advisor on a couple of episodes of NCIS, a popular television show. She taught Mark Harmon and Cote De Pablo how to say a few words in Russian, as well as translated parts of the script into Russian.
