Antony's autobiographical book "Propellerhead" documented his attempts to learn to fly a microlight aeroplane, motivated partly by his desire to improve his image with women. After many mishaps, he crashed during the Round Britain Rally, putting an end to his flying - until fifteen years later in 2011 he competed again in the Rally, with his old instructor Will Knowles as co-pilot, as shown in
The Real Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines (2012).
