star in the upcoming television project, Pets Welcome Here as the K9
Adventure Guide. He was abandoned twice in downtown LA before finding
his forever person, Megan Blake. Megan had been looking for a grounded
confident dog who could help rehabilitate her nervous German Shepherd
who had been abandoned four times in her short life. After searching
over a month, Megan saw Smiley at the shelter. She looked right into
his eyes and said, "Are you my dog?" He starred back "I am." But the
shelter had him on a 28-day hold. Even though his owner had abandoned
Smiley, they had not technically relinquished him. So Megan visited
Smiley every day until his day of freedom. When the day arrived, Megan
waited at the shelter gate hours before it opened, sitting like a
groupie at concert doors to insure she claimed the smiling dog who had
already claimed her heart. Soon after, while they were watching
television, one of those sad commercials for pet adoption appeared.
Smiley looked right into Megan's eyes and thought real hard, "We have
to change this. We need a happy campaign that will energize people to
go out and adopt a pet!" And... The Super Smiley Flash Mob 4 Pet
Adoption was born! Smiley and Megan have been energizing pet adoption
with their Flash Mob Tour across the US in cities including NYC, LA,
Daytona, San Diego, Phoenix and Greensboro and at events like the
