This is a big week for DC Comics fanboys. For the first time, we get to see Batman and Superman together on the big screen in the live-action film. Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice is a movie that's been a long time in the making, and it comes well into Marvel's Cinematic Universe, which now has a whopping 12 films under its belt, including two Avengers movies. Considering how far behind they are in this game of shared universes, it makes sense that they'd opt for a different formula. Rather than using the tried-and-true Marvel formula of standalone film-standalone film-standalone film-standalone film-standalone-film-teamup, they've decided to go all in almost from the start, pitting Batman against Superman in their second film, and introducing most of the future Justice League superheroes.
It's an ambitious movie, to say the least, and WB has definitely paid a pretty penny to make it a reality.

Though a legal battle threatened to derail the project entirely back in 2013, Warner Bros. has today announced that its live-action Dungeons and Dragons adaptation is back on the table.
News comes after the company settled a dispute with toy manufacturer Hasbro, who then claimed that WB didn’t have the licensing rights to create a feature film. Now that the dust has settled, both parties have confirmed that the project is indeed moving forward. Perhaps spurred by the mounting interest in Duncan Jones’ Warcraft, Warner will be hoping to mine the rich resource that Dungeons and Dragons has to offer, which is widely considered to be one of – if not the – founding fathers of the modern fantasy genre.
In a press release, Greg Silverman, President Creative Development and Worldwide Production at Warner, spoke with excitement about the nascent project.

Fresh off his billion dollar-earning outing "Furious 7," director James Wan has targeted another big film: "Aquaman."
Warner Bros. made the announcement late Wednesday, revealing that Wan had just closed a deal to helm the DC Comics flick, headlined by "Game of Thrones" star Jason Momoa. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wan will also help supervise the script, which is being written by Kurt Johnstad.
"The Aquaman film will be a major tentpole picture for us and James's span of work has proven him able to take on any manner of project, bringing his incredible creative talent and unique voice to the material," said Greg Silverman, president of creative development and worldwide production for Warner Bros.
The studio will have to wait until at least until spring of 2016 to start production, though, since THR says Wan will be tied up with filming for his next project, "The Conjuring 2: The Endfield Experiment,...

The "Wonder Woman" movie may get a dose of girl power behind the lens: Variety reports that director Michelle MacLaren is in talks to helm the superhero flick.
MacLaren has made a name for herself in fanboy and -girl circles in recent years, directing and producing episodes of popular and critically-acclaimed shows such as "Breaking Bad," "Game of Thrones," and "The Walking Dead." And according to sources, Variety writes that Warner Bros. exec Greg Silverman "has always been a fan of MacLaren's work and had been trying for awhile to find the right project for her."
The "Wonder Woman" film would certainly be a high-profile project for MacLaren's feature directorial debut, and could potentially line the producer-director up for another WB superhero flick down the line. Wonder Woman is already set to make her big screen debut in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," and will then get her own standalone film,...

This may not come as a shock to anyone, but according to Deadline, Warner Brothers wants Academy Award winning screenwriter Chris Terrio, who rewrote Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, to pen Justice League.
Terrio jumped on board Batman V Superman shortly after Ben Affleck was cast and rewrote David Goyer’s original draft of the script. He apparently “absolutely crushed” that rewrite, prompting the studio to court him into returning. There’s no mention of how far into negotiations he and the studio are, but with Zack Snyder already confirmed to direct, and Justice League the “highest priority” for new studio managers Greg Silverman and Sue Kroll, we should expect an official announcement soon.
We all kind of expected Terrio to return for Justice League, but this is still great news. He won an Academy Award for his Argo script and his involvement in that film is what made...

They collaborated on The Hangover trilogy, which unarguably sent their respective careers into the stratosphere. Now, Todd Phillips and Bradley Cooper are formalizing that partnership, by creating a production company, signing a three-year production deal with Warner Bros., and getting the ball rolling on their next film – Arms & The Dudes.
Based on a Rolling Stone article by Guy Lawson – the rights to which Phillips optioned in 2011 – Arms & The Dudes is about two Miami Beach stoners, who found themselves becoming arms dealers for the Us Government. The twenty-something duo landed a $300 million contract with The Pentagon, to arm Us allies in Afghanistan, before being prosecuted for fraud. Greg Silverman – Warner Bros. President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production – stated:
“Todd and Bradley have deep personal ties throughout the studio, and we couldn’t be more pleased that they are combining their immense talents into what promises to be one formidable production company.

Earlier today, news broke that Zack Snyder will be directing Justice League after Batman vs. Superman, meaning Warner Bros. is moving full steam ahead with their new DC cinematic universe. The confirmation came straight from WB president of worldwide production Greg Silverman, who claimed that a script is currently in development and that the film may not arrive before 2018.
However, our friends over at Latino Review have sources of their own that claim the film could release even sooner, meaning that Snyder may end up filming both Batman vs. Superman and Justice League back-to-back. They warn that this is only a rumor, but suggest that Justice League could arrive on May 5th, 2017.
This is a bit sooner than Silverman suggested, but it’s certainly not out of the question. For starters, that would be a great place to put the film, since the opening May weekend is the most sought-after...

After months of speculation, we finally have official confirmation: Zack Snyder will direct a Justice League film that will immediately follow Batman vs. Superman.
The fact that this news is appearing at night on a Sunday is a bit bizarre, but it comes to us from The Wall Street Journal. They recently spoke to Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman, who said the following:
“It will be a further expansion of this universe. ‘Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’”
A script is currently in development for the film and while we don’t have a release date just yet, it will likely arrive no sooner than 2018. It’s also expected that Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot will return as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, respectively. Silverman didn’t comment on which other characters would be on the Jla roster, but it’s probably a...

Well, it’s settled, Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder have chosen Ben Affleck to don the cape and cowl for Batman vs. Superman, the upcoming Man of Steel sequel which will hit theatres on July 17th, 2015.
Check out what Snyder and Warner Bros. had to say about the casting choice below:
“We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular super heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some,” said WB’s president of production Greg Silverman. “His outstanding career is a testament to his talent and we know he and Zack will bring new dimension to the duality of this character.”
“Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter,...

Ok folks, let’s just calm down now and recap what just happened. Zack Snyder has officially confirmed that he will direct a team up film for Batman and Superman, which was rumored earlier today. Production will begin in 2014 and the film is expected to hit in 2015.
Check out Snyder’s official announcement below:
It’s official that we are going to make another Superman movie. And you say, Zack, what is the movie about? But you don’t want me to tell you that. You want to go and see the movie. But I can say that maybe there’s a single element that will be in the film that I could… help you out with. I was thinking about how to do that. I pored through the DC Universe to look for a way to tell this thing. We’re writing the thing now, but I came across...
