The Jurassic Park franchise based on the cult novels by Michael Crichton, got its cinematic glory through the visionary expertise of Steven Spielberg. The first film in 1993 was a pathbreaking effort in the genre that has now reached cult status. Following a sequel in 1997, Spielberg stepped down from the director’s chair and only chose to produce the 3rd film in 2001.
A still from Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park
The franchise was resurrected with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard with Jurassic World releasing in 2015. This gave rise to two more sequels in this series in 2018 and 2022. More significantly, the films were marked by the conspicuous absence of Spielberg who seemed to have washed his hands off the franchise in every capacity. Now, Gareth Edwards being officially chosen as the director for the 4th film in 2025 is reportedly confirming an inevitable reality associated with the franchise and its legacy.

Charlize Theron is unstoppable in the new look at Atomic Blonde.
The film is set as Theron's character is called in to Berlin five days before the Berlin Wall falls, and she joins a colorful world where spies have gone rogue.
She stars opposite Sofia Boutella, James McAvoy, John Goodman and Toby Jones in the film from director David Leicht. And if the action in the film looks intense, that's because it was. As Theron said last month at CinemaCon, she was due to have her fourth root canal thanks to some teeth she cracked on set.

With John Wick co-director David Leicht off directing Deadpool 2, Chad Stahelski returns to take sole control over follow up to the brilliant, Keanu Reeves starring shoot ‘em up. We sat down with the former stuntman to talk about how he creates such beautiful carnage in John Wick Chapter 2, as well as grabbing updates on the future of the John Wick franchise and his upcoming Highlander remake.
Why John Wick 2? Why’ve you made a second one?
There’s all the fiduciary reasons for the studio. For me, on a personal level, we were very fortunate. The first movie did really well. My partner Dave (Leicht), and I got a lot of other offers to do projects and step into other people’s shoes and do other sequels.
