Exclusive: The ancient Scottish town of St Andrews was hit with a heavy bout of Spidey fever this past weekend as the third annual Sands International Film Festival opened, pulling in an eclectic set of films, filmmakers, and speakers alongside one popular guest of honor.
Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, also known for The Impossible, Cherry, and The Devil All the Time passed through the fest, which opened with a screening of Last Call, a short project he leads with Lindsay Duncan (Blackbird) that was co-written and directed by his brother, Harry Holland. The Holland brothers also took part in the first annual Sands golf tournament, which will continue as part of the festival’s wider activities. The 35th Galway Film Fleadh ended Sunday evening with the Competition jury handing the festival’s top prizes of Best Irish Film to Apocalypse Clown, directed by George Kane, and the Generation Jury Award to Scrapper by Charlotte Regan.
Written by Demian Fox, George Kane, Shane O’Brien, and James Walmsley and produced by Morgan Bushe and James Dean, Apocalypse Clown follows a troupe of failed clowns as they embark on a chaotic road trip of self-discovery after a mysterious solar event plunges the world into anarchy. Scrapper, which stars Harris Dickinson (Triangle of Sadness), follows Georgie, a dreamy 12-year-old girl who lives happily alone in her London flat, filling it with magic. Suddenly, her estranged father turns up and forces her to confront reality.

When Rolling Stone asked me to take photos of my experience at the Tribeca Film Festival, where I was releasing my directorial debut Shadow Brother Sunday, I expected to come back to them with lots of behind-the-scenes shots from the point of view of a filmmaker in the middle of the festival circus.
When I got my rolls developed, I found that almost all my photos were of the people in my life who had come out to celebrate the film (and a few they took of me).

Tom Holland is harnessing his multifaceted talent to portray a mentally ill criminal in the Apple TV+ series “The Crowded Room.”
Inspired by the crimes of real-life rapist Billy Milligan, the limited series is created by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman (“A Beautiful Mind”), who serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Milligan was arrested for raping three women on the Ohio State University campus in 1979.
“The Crowded Room” similarly centers on fictional figure Danny Sullivan (Holland), who is arrested after his involvement in a New York City shooting in 1979. The thriller limited series is told through a series of interviews between interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried) and Danny, charting his own past traumas. The 10-episode series co-stars Sasha Lane, Emmy Rossum, Christoper Abbott, Will Chase, Lior Raz, and Henry Eikenberry.
Lead star Holland previously described the series as “an insight into the power of the human mind” during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“Last Call” tells the story of Kate, a desperate mother who is trying to reconnect with her son.

This post contains spoilers for "The Mandalorian" season 3, episode 6.
We are rapidly approaching the conclusion of "The Mandalorian" season 3 on Disney+, and the sixth episode, titled "Guns for Hire," did some real work in setting up a grand finale for Din Djarin, Bo-Katan Kryze, and the rest of the Mandalorians as they look to reclaim their homeworld of Mandalore. But this episode took some pretty unique detours en route to getting the Darksaber back in Bo-Katan's hands. The cold open of the episode told a tale of forbidden love in short order, while also bringing us an obscure little connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe along the way — though you'd be forgiven for not catching it the first time around.

News that the low-key couple, who met on the set of the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming, enjoyed lunch together with his younger brother Harry Holland, 23, while out and about in New York City on July 20. In snapshots taken on the day, Zendaya can be seen looking effortlessly cool in a gray graphic t-shirt, black trousers and a pair of black Converse. She completed her look with a black tote bag, a to-go drink and what appeared to be a bag of leftovers from their meal. It looks like we won't be seeing much of Prince William and Prince Harry in the upcoming Diana. According to the Daily Mail, there is only one "significant scene" of the duo interacting with their mother, Princess Diana, in the biopic. In the scene, Princess Diana reportedly hugs the boys, played by Laurence Belcher (William) and Harry Holland (Harry), leads them to a helicopter bound for Balmoral and tells them she'll see them in five weeks. This ends up being the last time she sees them. Director Oliver Hirschbiegel told the site that additional scenes featuring the princes were cut out because "it never felt right to have them in the film." "Everyone...
