Christopher Torres grew up in Garden Grove, CA where he attended St. Columban's Catholic school. His family then moved to Norco, CA. a rural area of the Inland Empire where Christopher attended Jr high and High school. Norco is a Horse riding community that trademarked the name "Horsetown USA" which Christopher wrote a holiday song about and recorded in 2016.
Both his Father's and his Mother's family were all music lovers, some were musicians, some were just record collectors. There was always music around of all genres and everyone danced.
The childhood memories continue to be an inspirational to Christopher.
His father worked in the aerospace industry, which is why Christopher started off working in machine shops very young and then wanting to work outside eventually found his way into the booming construction industry of the eighties.
Never missing a chance to perform, act or sing in a band. Christopher found his way into the theatre. Acting and directing in numerous plays in cabarets, Civic Light Operas and Community Theatres and eventually moved to Hollywood to find acting work.
Because of his creative construction skills, he could always find work doing set construction, art department work and art directing in a lot of the music videos being made in the late eighties and early nineties.
He then started driving limousines for Ultra Limousine Corp. an Orange County, CA., based company that manufactured new limousines and movie cars. The company also had other divisions which included Ultra Entertainment and Ultra/Quality Records where he worked directly the owners Vini Bergeman and Kraig Kavanagh.
Ultra/Quality records signed the artist Angelica in the nineties and had a hit single with the remake of the song "Angel Baby".
In this division, is where Christopher developed a relationship with Michael Eckart and Music Industry Legend Russ Regan which created opportunities for him to appear in movies, videos, and television shows.
Christopher began doing road management for Ultra Entertainment in the late nineties and worked on the "World of Wheels" tour, which was a touring car show across the United State and became the spokesperson. This eventually lead to touring with the Motor Show's in Essen, Germany and Bologna, Italy.
Tired of touring Christopher moved to Battle Mountain where he worked in the Gold mines of Northern Nevada. There he married and had a little girl. He directed plays for the local church and was inspired to keep on writing by the priest.
After four years in Northern Nevada, he moved back to Riverside, Ca. and had another little girl, and then a boy. Very inspired by his young children, he began writing songs, stories and published his first Children's book "Salma and the Christmas Star".
Christopher worked in construction again as a Superintendent building track houses and then later became a General Contractor building high-end custom homes.
One late November, Christopher inspired by his eight-year-old son, who asked every single day, "when are they going to put up the Christmas lights?" He began making a jingle out of it. He asked his longtime friend Michael Eckart to write some music, so he could make a YouTube video with the kids singing it. Michael insisted that they produce the song to be marketed, the song was then placed in the Theo Rossi film "Bad Hurt", and was also used by Disney and KTLA Channel Five during the holidays.
Michael Eckart and Christopher Torres' collaboration inspired them to create more holiday songs. They both felt there was a need for some new holiday classics and that would be their target.
In 2014, Michael Eckart and Christopher Torres founded HolidayHitMakers, a record label that specializes in Song Writing and Music Production where all songs are available for licensing.
The signature sound is all crafted around the Holiday spirit.
Christopher now lives in Norco, CA.
