- Played Wing Defence on her school netball team who became the undefeated champions in the Manchester under 11's league in 2000.

- Sophie is also has a passion for fine art drawing. Some of her work has been sold for charity.

- Starting out as a model Sophie was quickly spotted by Manchester based agents who saw her potential as an actress as she was asked to film a couple of episodes of Waterloo Road for the fourth season. Which later led her to Britannia high, Shameless, The Street and numerous theatre productions. It was until 2012 when Sophie landed the role of Alice Reynolds in Scottish BBC soap River City, beating 700 girls nation wide for the part cast by Kahleen Crawford. Sophie's hard hitting portrayal of the first ever lesbian character in the 10 year cult show made global waves as Alice's storyline was uploaded to YouTube sending Sophie's profile in the LGBT community as far as 'After Ellen' ; a spin of online tag to the Ellen Degeneres Show.

- Close friends with Eva Pope, Kirsty-Leigh Porter.
- Has a close relationship to Michelle Visage, who she refers to as her unofficial Mother, and vice versa.
