Kate Spare is a true artist. Her love for the arts began at an early age while growing up in Sacramento. She was involved in dance starting at the age of five, training in jazz, classical jazz, ballet and hip - hop. At the age of fourteen she was invited to join an exclusive theatre class at her high school that focused on comedy, character development and character physicality. She began vocal training and developed a rich mezzo soprano sound which serves her well for rich voiceover roles and stage productions.
She received her BA in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in classical literature from UCI's Claire Trevor School of the arts, but graduated a year early to move to LA to pursue film and TV - her lifelong passion. She also has studied her art in Europe and is excellent with dialects.
Kate continues to sharpen her acting skills through consistent training with Stuart Rogers. The movement elements of her work remain a vital part of her acting process as she is able to fully submerge herself into roles though physicality. She also holds several fitness certifications including ballet barre.
Kate is especially proud of the lead roles she has personified which include Adam Rapp's play, "Red Light Winter" for which Kate received critical acclaim for her portrayal, and Tribeca Film Festival's "Trust" feature.
Kate is managed by Michelle Zeitlin, More Zap Productions & Management, and commercially represented by Taylor Talent Services; Blair Taylor and Shannon McArdle.
