Robin Christopher Heering
- Composer
Robin Christopher Heering is a Swiss composer, orchestrator and
songwriter, born in Stuttgart, Germany. He has experience in scoring
several award-winning feature and short films directed by award-winning
directors from around the world (Los Angeles, Canada, London, Berlin,
Auckland, South East Asia), production company logos, television
commercials and other media. He also has experience in arranging music
and leading musical productions and song writing for artists.
In late 2012, Robin teamed up with the talented and dynamic Waihi Media production company, completing the score to their drama/thriller, 'Pretending to Forget'. Following the completion and release of the production, Waihi Media brought Robin on board again for the successful commercial short, The Yellow Brick Road. After shooting in November 2012, Robin faced a unique challenge of writing a '2 minute 30 second-long jingle' to a cue sheet and two photographs. The commercial short was later released online in January 2013 with notable success.
In 2013, Robin was brought on board by talented, multi award-winning director/cinematographer and American Film Institute masters student, Ed Wu of Wuhawk Productions to complete a score to his 16mm short 'The Art of Clowning'. This heart-warming and beautifully crafted story, along with it's soundtrack, will be available in late-2013. In April, a talented Canadian team, headed by award-winning director Jeff Vitkuske, signed Robin on their multi award-winning 25 minute SciFi/Thriller 'Recall'. The film is circulating the 2013 global film festival circuit and will release in select theaters next year. 'Recall' was recently announced as 'Official Selection' at the 44th annual Montréal World Film Festival/Festival des Films du Monde.
In early 2014, Robin will be partnering again with Waihi Media on their next short film. As well as writing music for visual media, Robin works as an arranger, orchestrator and sessionist.
