It is with great sadness that the final bell has tolled for Ring-a-ding Romita. It brings to an end a distinguished career in comics that has seen it all. From Romance, to war and the biggest heroes around. As he pulls his chair up to the great drawing board in the sky we look back on the life of Jazzy John and his legacy.
To begin with my personal connection to John Romita’s work and it’s a pretty significant one, being the writer of Wolverine Wednesday and all. There was a lot of different creative input to the final creation of Wolverine. Romita’s was the costume, though the whiskers may be long gone the blue and yellow theme has stood the test of time. Sure people may love the brown and tan look, but when you think Wolverine, you think blue and yellow! My other big love...

Take another look at Marvel Comics' "Captain America" - Commie Smasher!, from the publisher's 'cold war' comic books of the 1950's, that identified communist foreign infiltrators, corrupt politicians, bribed journalists and 'useful idiots' as enemies of the state:
"...in 1953, 'William Burnside' discovers the lost formula for the 'Super-Soldier Serum' in 'Third Reich' files stashed in a German warehouse.
"He immediately tells the government about the formula in consideration of becoming the next 'Captain America'...
"...even undergoing plastic surgery to look like 'Steve Rogers', but the government is unconvinced they need another 'Cap'.
"Becoming a disgruntled teacher, the new Rogers befriends rebellious student 'Jack Monroe' and together they access the formula, injecting the chemicals into each other, to become the new Captain America and 'Bucky'.
"The duo fight as 'Commie Smashers'...
"...unaware of a 'Vita-Ray' process required to stabilize the recipient taking the formula.”

This Lucifer review contains spoilers.
“Why don’t you fellas go jerk yourselves a soda.”
Lucifer star Tom Ellis teased early in the year that the series would feature a “full blown” musical episode late in its fifth season, one of many indicators that the writers planned to pull out all the stops in what was initially thought to be the show’s final run. Though it appears fans will have to wait for the second half of the current installment to experience this narrative divergence, showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich take another creative leap with the noir detective story “It Never Ends Well for the Chicken.”
Any time a show steps out of its comfort zone to explore varied storytelling techniques, there’s a good chance success may not necessarily follow. That’s certainly not the case here as Lucifer puts familiar characters into exciting new roles that...

Chloe got a major bomb dropped on her and it seems she's not yet over it.
In Lucifer Season 5 Episode 4, Trixie shows up to Lucifer's without her mom for game night.
First things first, Yay for more Trixie content.
Trixie: Grown-up problems. Not interested. Also, who cares where my mom is?
Lucifer: Well, me for one.
Trixie: It’s game night, and Trixie’s in the house.

Trying to get things back to the way things used to be, Lucifer had a night of snacks and Monopoly set up. Since it was just the two of them, though, Trixie convinced Lucifer to tell her the story behind his ring.
This episode was a fun, black-and-white, noir detective story. Lucifer tells her the true story about the ring, with a few different faces. Except for one, that is.
The story begins in 1946 at the...

What if Disney's Marvel Studios considered another take on "Captain America", adapting Marvel Comics' 'Commie Smasher Cap', the delusional, drug-addicted 'super-patriot' from the publisher's 'cold war' Atlas comic books of the 1950's ? :

"Ultimately the drugs affect their minds, creating psychotic hallucinations.
