He was six-feet-two, and on a good day he weighed 200 pounds. He wore granny glasses with a head scarf, points knotted at the back, a look that was both pirate-like and house-wife-ish. "Some secrets should never come to light." Or maybe everyone prefers that kind of creepy tagline better? "No reporter can resist a siren." Lionsgate has unveiled a trailer for a crime thriller called Manhattan Night, a sort of contemporary noir starring Adrien Brody as the pulp writer stuck in the middle of a crazy mysterious story of sex and lies and deceit. The cast includes Jennifer Beals and Yvonne Strahovski, plus Campbell Scott, Linda Lavin, Steven Berkoff and Kevin Breznahan. The trailer sets up the plot better than any text explanation can - this nice family man meets a "seductive stranger" and gets wrapped up in his own twisted story. This seems to be cutting it close to being straight-to-tv quality, so watch out. Here's the official trailer for Brian DeCubellis' Manhattan Night, direct from YouTube: Based on Colin Harrison's acclaimed novel Manhattan Nocturne, Manhattan Night tells the...

Check out the new poster & trailer for Lionsgate Premiere’s upcoming thriller Manhattan Night.
Based on Colin Harrison’s acclaimed novel Manhattan Nocturne (a New York Times Notable Book of the Year), Manhattan Night tells the story of Porter Wren (Adrien Brody), a New York City tabloid writer with an appetite for scandal. On the beat he sells murder, tragedy and anything that passes for the truth. At home he is a model family man, devoted to his loving wife (Jennifer Beals).
But when a seductive stranger (Yvonne Strahovski) asks him to dig into the unsolved murder of her filmmaker husband Simon (Campbell Scott), he can’t resist. In this modern version of a classic film noir, we follow Porter as he is drawn into a very nasty case of sexual obsession and blackmail – one that threatens his job, his marriage and his life.

Mary Louise Parker, best known for starring on Showtime’s Weeds, plans to write a memoir for Scriber in the form of letters to men she’s known throughout her life.
Mary Louise Parker Memoir
Parker, 50, announced her memoir, titled Dr. Mr. You, in a press release. “I am so honored and thrilled to be working with Scribner and in the company of such wonderful writers,” said the actress.
As for Scriber, they’re wholly excited to have Parker joining their list of impressive memoirists. “From Frank McCourt to Jeannette Walls to Anjelica Huston, Scribner loves a great memoirist, and Mary-Louise Parker is one,” said Nan Graham, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Scribner. “Her writing is magnificent; the conceit – a memoir in letters to men – is wholly original and brilliantly executed.”
Colin Harrison, vice-presideent and editor-in-chief of Scribner added, “Mary-Louise Parker’s prose is vivid, urgent and emotionally frank.
