Kadri Koop is an Estonian cinematographer and director.
Kadri's road to filmmaking began in the streets of Beijing, China where she made her first documentary shorts about the lives of Beijing street vendors as a way to learn Mandarin Chinese. Her early work made in China led her to earn a scholarship to study documentary filmmaking at Stanford University.
Upon graduating she continued to work in documentary while proceeding to study cinematography at the American Film Institute where she honed in her skills as a director of photography.
Since graduating Kadri has been nominated for the ASC Heritage Award and the Student Emmy's for her graduate work "SPACESHIP", which won the Gotham Award and subsequently gained distribution by Focus Features.
Her mostly recently lensed feature, "ON THE LINE: The Richard Williams Story," about the legendary tennis coach and father of Serena and Venus Williams, premiered at 2022 Tribeca Film Festival.
Kadri shares her time between Los Angeles and Europe.
