Ah, Big Brother. The true love-it-or-hate-it of television. Ever since it started in 2000, it's been one of the most divisive programmes ever to make it onto the box, so there was no real surprise at the outcry when the National Trust announced it would be opening it to the public for two days only. 'How could a British institution give such credence to Big Brother?' the cry went, with even Ann Widdecombe huffing about the horror of the news.
But is that really fair? Digital Spy obviously jumped at the chance to visit the house at last night's gala launch - attended by former housemates alternately gasping at how much of a "headspin" it was to be back (Charlie Travers) or grinning and bouncing with excitement about being able to press buttons they were banned from touching before (Callum Knell).
Everyone always says that the Big Brother house is smaller than you expect,...
