Exclusive: Gustin Nash, the screenwriter of Amazon Studios’ in-the-works movie Kate Warne, which has Emily Blunt attached to star in the story of the first female Pinkerton Detective, has signed with WME. The agency deal for the scribe comes after Deadline scooped earlier this month that Amazon acquired Nash’s pitch at the end of a six-studio bidding war.
Blunt is also set to produce Kate Warne alongside Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions and Kristina Sorensen. Nash is executive producer on the project, an action adventure take on Warne, whose sleuthing skills in a male-dominated field paved the way for women in law enforcement and forever changed how detective work was done.
Nash’s writing credits include 2007’s Charlie Bartlett for MGM which starred Anton Yelchin, Robert Downey Jr and Kat Dennings, and 2009’s Youth In Revolt directed by Miguel Arteta and starring Michael Cera, Zach Galifianakis, Steve Buscemi and Rooney Mara.

Almost three years after the tragic and shocking passing of the uncommonly sensitive and prolific actor Anton Yelchin, a new documentary about his life and work offers an intimate window into this rare talent. Garret Price’s heartbreaking “Love, Antosha” features interviews with the actor’s parents, Irina and Viktor Yelchin, as well as many of his high-profile friends and collaborators. While his acting work is well known to many, Price highlights the lesser-known sides of Yelchin’s artistic process by exploring his photographic projects as well as scoring the film entirely with the actor’s original music. The newly released trailer also promises plenty of archival photos and video of the young actor, sure to move any fan to tears.
The official synopsis reads: “From a prolific career in film and television, Anton Yelchin left an indelible legacy as an actor. Through his journals and other writings, his photography,...

It’s hard to believe that we’re already almost exactly three years removed from the shocking, tragic death of actor Anton Yelchin. At the age of 27, due to a freak accident, the young actor was killed, leaving behind a legacy of incredible films and artistic achievements. Oscar-nominated “Hacksaw Ridge” producer David Permut has acquired the motion picture rights to Joel Dobson’s nuclear bomb thriller “The Goldsboro Broken Arrow.”
Dobson’s book follows the formerly classified events that took place in 1961 when four pilots ejected out of a B-52 aircraft carrying two thermonuclear bombs at 9,000 feet after the plane was struck multiple times by lightning and lost a wing. One pilot died, three others survived, and the two nuclear bombs fell at a velocity of 700 mph and crashed into Goldsboro, N.C.
The condition of the fail-safe mechanism on the bombs was unknown, and there was no guarantee that they could be deactivated. The destructive power of each bomb was large enough to create a 100% kill zone within a radius of eight miles. Twenty-two-year-old Lt. Jack ReVelle, a bomb disposal expert, was charged with the dangerous mission of deactivating the bombs.
