The Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament continued on Tuesday night (March 26) as three more former champions returned to the Alex Trebek Stage for another shot at glory. Arthur Chu, a writer originally from Cleveland, Ohio, who finished as 1st runner-up in the 2014 Tournament of Champions, faced off against 19-game champion David Madden and 2021 Tournament of Champions quarterfinalist MacKenzie Jones. Chu, who was once called Jeopardy!‘s “first villain,” led after the first round, standing at $6,400 to Madden’s $4,200 and Jones’ $2,200. However, things dramatically shifted in Double Jeopardy! thanks to two crucial Daily Doubles. Madden found the first Daily Double and added $5,000 to his total. Chu then found the second Daily Double and chose to wager a massive $10,000. He answered incorrectly, losing a considerable chunk of his earnings and giving Madden a runaway going into Final Jeopardy. Heading into Final Jeopardy, Madden stood at $18,400, while Chu had $5,600, and Jones trailed with $600. Even though...

After weeks of twists and turns, Jeopardy! has finally crowned the winner of the 2024 Tournament of Champions.
Yogesh Raut towered above the competition throughout the finals, and his third victory allowed him to take the overall win.
Tuesday’s shocking episode featured the power going back and forth between him and Troy Meyer.
Ben Chan, who turned in another strong showing throughout the Tournament of Champions, struggled to keep up the pace.
Ultimately, Raut’s win came after he pulled ahead of Meyer when his opponent got the answer wrong at the start of Final Jeopardy!
Raut’s win secured him a healthy $250,000 prize and an entry in the upcoming Jeopardy! Masters tournament.
Changes are on the horizon for Jeopardy!
Yes, the show is all about tournaments these days and recycling competitors, but that will change very soon.

Is there such a thing as too much Jeopardy? We don’t think so.
As the current Tournament of Champions approaches the finish line, we already have confirmation on what’s on tap for the rest of the month.
As expected, more alums will return to the show before we meet new faces in April.
The producers’ aim is for the new players to have original questions that haven’t previously been used on the show.
Next up, we’re getting fan favorites back on the show for the first-ever invitational tournament.
Austin Rogers, who gained many fans during his initial stint on Jeopardy, will return alongside Andrew He, Amy Schneider, and Sam Buttrey.
The Jeopardy! invitational tournament has some big names
The cast also includes Brandon Blackwell, Colby Burnett, Lily Chin, Arthur Chu, Leonard Cooper, Celeste Dinucci, Chuck Forrest, Dhruv Gaur, Victoria Groce, and Ben Ingram.

When it comes to Jeopardy!, there are quite a few rules that contestants need to follow. For example, when competing, all answers need to be given in the form of a question. There are also strict rules about how much time all the competitors are given to answer the Final Jeopardy! clue correctly. Those who are fans of the show know that contestants have only 30 seconds to come up with their answers. However, it seems that the contestants must follow specific rules even when they aren’t on camera. In fact, a past Jeopardy! winner revealed that players aren’t allowed to go anywhere unattended during their time on the show.

James Holzhauer, who is closing in on a million dollars of game-show winnings, is on track to become the most successful “Jeopardy!” contestant of all time. And he’s become such a dominant force that a historic run has come to seem, as television, boring.
Over the course of thirteen episodes and counting, Holzhauer’s methods and his mien have become deeply familiar. His success is owed in some large part both to landing Daily Double clues and to wagering as aggressively as possible once he’s found them. A professional gambler in his off-camera life, Holzhauer has by now become notorious for his gesture for wagering it all — pushing his hands forward as if shoving all his poker chips into the kitty. More often than not, he’s rewarded with an insurmountable lead early in the game.
He is simply a more advanced player, a perfect one, seemingly sent...

During a promotional tour of his new movie Cold Pursuit, Liam Neeson, Hollywood’s favorite gruff uncle with a particular set of skills, told a story of racist revenge that shocked everyone.
Neeson is definitely known for his revenge movies (see Taken), but things became too real in an interview with The Independent. During the interview, he shared an “awful” story of how he once took to the streets with a mission to murder a man who sexually assaulted one of his friends — and the man was black.
Neeson said that his friend “handled the situation of the rape in the most extraordinary way.” However, his reaction was a bit different. He asked her a bunch of questions including what color the assailant was. When he found out he was black he admitted that he “went up and down areas with a cosh, hoping I’d be approached by somebody.

Does “Too Many Cooks” mean everything or nothing? "What did it all mean?” asks Ian Crook. "Maybe everything: it was a postmodern satire of television and Web culture, a commentary on the power of nostalgia, a glimpse at the violence that lurks within us all. Perhaps it was a deconstruction on the very idea of virality itself: it’s the Internet that has too many cooks, and all of us, together, with our sharing and repeated clever comments and urge to be the first to share what thousands of others have already shared, have spoiled the broth. Or else it meant nothing, and quit it, you dummies.” Plus: “Too Many Cooks” is the smartest critique of our changing TV landscape, it subverts our expectations of nostalgia, the "definitive" ranking of every character, “Too Many Cooks” creator says "I hate to talk about it too much,” “Too Many Cooks” is set in Denver,...

Julia Collins’s monster Jeopardy! winning streak ended at 20 yesterday, when she let a customarily large lead vanish and then missed the Final Jeopardy clue asking for the name of the author who won an Oscar for adapting his own novel into a screenplay in 1999. (It was John Irving.) She departs the show in second place for most consecutive victories, after Ken Jennings, who won 74 straight games in 2004; she also takes home $428,100 in winnings, the third-highest total ever, which makes Collins the winningest female Jeopardy! champion of all time by a wide margin. That distinction, as well as her cheerful personality, earned her legions of fans, a sharp contrast to another recent Jeopardy! star, Arthur Chu, who was widely villainized during his 11-game streak earlier this season for his aggressive style and rumpled appearance. Vulture reached Collins, 31, on Tuesday morning to discuss her victorious run and what the out-of-work supply...
